You can trust me to be an expert in this case.
by the way potassium is okay+ found a lot in bananas and is somewhat good for your muscles. But you could say the same for Magnesium. Salt is NaCl which is something different.
As long as you follow my advice of more exercise and less focusing on your pain, it will do miracles!
People tend to expect miracles in the form of magic potions from medicine, but in many cases the best cure lies in your own hands. It's all about taking responsibility for your own health.

Thanks doc, I will take that advice to heart. More exercise, less attention to pain, and more bananas.

What do you mean by that? You mean eat more salt? I think that'll worsen it, seeing as how muscles generally are repaired when more water is consumed...
NOTE: You may be right, but I am not so sure. So if you can, please clarify how it would help.
@RealDeal and LSSJ4 - No luck; it seems Brad is not well versed in the ways of medical science. :*laughing out loud*: The one time where I need expert advice from him, he has next-to-no knowledge of the subject.
What *laughing out loud* Zeth answered you? :*laughing out loud*: :*laughing out loud*: :*laughing out loud*:
could you copy paste what he said I wanna read the epicness :*laughing out loud*: :*laughing out loud*:
<Bradless> And how would I be able to help with a medical issue?
<Bradless> I can try, but I have no experience in that field.
After about 30 minutes after I explained my problem.
<Bradless> Back. Reading.
<Bradless> TRL is a borderline doctor (he's in medical school). So his advice should technically be the most sound.
<Bradless> Back pain is pretty common if you spend a lot of time at a computer.
<Bradless> A better chair can help and so can a better mattress to sleep on.
<Bradless> Those are the two affectors of most back pain unless you hurt it during some activity.
that was so beautiful....loved every line

I'm certain its related to posture.
You could try yoga.
Here's a link to get you started,
http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/yoga-and-health/yoga-for-back.asp
I don't personally do a lot of yoga (mostly just keep to a surya namaskar (very rejuvenating) or two in the mornings]
Though I do a lot of hand stands, cartwheels, wall climbs and weights to strengthen my back so to speak, but yoga is lighter and very effective.

The only cures I could think of for muscle pain, is to either walk it off(I.e. ignore it until it goes away, if you can even call my stubborn method of dealing with most forms of "persistent for no reason pain" a cure...), or take a hot bath and just soak in the hot water for a while. Hot water can sometimes work wonders to help relax muscles, maybe that could help?
Usually I just ignore it outright, maybe stopping to stretch whatever muscle it is that's bugging me every so often... Stretching can help too sometimes, depending on the muscle.

Thanks, guys. NikhilR, one of those stretches is what I think contributed to my discomfort, due to my having overstretched. And Shenku, it's difficult for me to "walk it off," because I cannot easily ignore the pain, but the hot bath sounds like a spectacular idea, at least for now.

Eh, I said walking it off would be what I would do, but then again, I would punch my hand into a solid brick wall if I thought it would take my mind off of pain elsewhere... Wouldn't really recommend that practice to others though...
If nothing else, a hot bath should help you relax.

The bath helped while I was in there, but right when I got out, the pain came back... I suppose I'll just have to lie in bed for a good while, then try to get some exercise afterwards.

First off, I dislike racing games because of my inexperience with that sort of thing. Second, if I were to play a game, it would be Skyrim, which is on my PC. Third, my desk chair is essentially trash, so it would be bad for my back. Fourth, sleep was my best option, and it helped a lot, for I feel much better than I did yesterday.
