for your information, when I say Discovery Channel, I don't mean the all-day-long marathons of American Chopper that they have every day... I swear they need to go back to showing their educational programs again, this reality TV trash is getting on my nerves... Science channel would be a better bet, or the Youtube channel TRL linked to...

My knowledge of science is no greater than TRL's knowledge of immutable belief I'm not perfect, I mistype.
Wait! You guys seriously think I didn't know the moon wasn't a planet ? Not that you'll believe me now....
I would gladly watch a nature show on the discovery channel over a cocky reality show though...
On-Topic: It's only because of divine intervention that I was born.... My mom had Hojkin's disease or something, and the medications made her infertile, or was it the disease itself? Bottom line is, I wasn't supposed to be born... and neither was my brother.
If you want more events about why I believe though, just ask..

Woha 4 posts in half a day what the heck.
Now I'm just going to comment on one thing.
The whole us being the most intelligent beings on this planet.
Says who? Just cause we can use tools and make airplanes.
Humans are savages, all we care for is ourselves and we start bloody massacres for the stupidest reasons. Be they immutable belief or your good old fame and fortune.
I've seen siblings stop short of murder when inheritance came up and worse.
So don't you tell me about civilized humanity.

It is to me like you guys have the feeling like your faith can't even be questioned. Honest question, do you guys think like you have no choice but to follow your immutable belief?
actually I feel mima will lock the topic due to heated arguments
and your right trl your much mature than me because you don't need a lloyd to tell you what's good from bad
I am dependent on lloyd to run my life properly
when I feel helpless in situations in which have no solution I have someone to pray and ask for help
and have some hope that improbable may becaome possible
that's all for me lloyd is the road to success
and the guardian of my life
I am sure if I stop believing in lloyd I will surely become a bad person and not able to control the evil in me

Wow, I missed this entire argument?!
Okay, TRL believes people act like mindless puppets because they let their immutable belief guide them? That is bogus, guiding choice is different from determining choice. Satan is, as the others said, the embodiment of all that is sinful. Hitler was not told directly by Satan to exterminate the Jews, rather, the experiences Hitler went through were just events that guided his actions. Satan is not physical, but spiritual; you cannot communicate with the spiritual world, if there is one. I'd rather call it the afterlife. You can believe you communicated with a spirit, but it is all subject to interpretation.
As for you, Jay, there were plenty of churches back in the day who forced the inhabitants to worship one lloyd and one lloyd only, much like how the greatest adventure stories demands that you worship "lloyd." The church in England, in the 1600s or so, you may recall, released all kinds of worship, so a group called the Pilgrims left to go to the New World. This was preceded by imprisonment and execution of many non-believers, so I'd say immutable belief causes much of the world's violence. I also believe that humanity is inherently violent, since no one person is the same, and always try to get others to believe the same as them.
I am like Grega, I was raised with Christianity, but I have developed my own views of my immutable belief, which acts much the same as any other immutable belief out there (I.e. worship only this lloyd, attempt to force others to do the same). I dislike that people try to force their opinion, and I especially dislike extremists.

Alright , making a post after a long time ,so pardon me. :p
To start off , believe in what ever you want , every one does not has to agree with you , if you do not want to believe in a lloyd , then do not , but do not claim that a certain believe causes harm . it's the person who only looks at the smaller context and acts like a radical leaping lizard , they don't try to understand the larger context in a particular believe , so its a lacking in identifiable function discussion if you ask me , we should mind our own business in this matter and leave it to an individual to decide what he wants to believe.

The original point of the thread was to ask the community if they care what another person believes in. Apparently some do, but other than that, most don't.
From that point it was a war among "intellectual non-believers," "intellectual believers," and "uninformed believers." I won't name who is who, since I don't want to get flamed, and that my opinion is invalid, anyway.
But really, the topic's objective is completed, so this discussion should be locked.

That's what I said! , the only reason this thread lasted so long is because somebody started attacking immutable beliefs

Don't make this about extremists, because it was not.
I just "believe" that immutable beliefs are holding back the natural progression of the humans species as a whole.
We would be much better off believing in some kind of aliens so we would all unite as cititzens of earth to develop technology to go and find them.
I don't like the separation immutable belief creates between the people of the world.

Yeah, well, unless all people start caring for other human beings, we'll never unite worldwide. So far, it's about the money and luxury, as well as immutable belief warfare. But you don't seem to take into account that these scenarios where Humanity will unite always have nothing to do with immutable belief. Instead, it is about survival of life, Humanity being on the defensive.
If people liked change, the centuries, no, millenniums, of immutable belief conflict and greed would have been long forgotten. But no, people want things to stay as they are because they are too lazy to adapt to new standards and beliefs.
Though Humanity is considered superior due to their ability to quickly adapt to the current situation, because of extended freedoms we take for granted, we, as a race, have become lazy and too dependent on society to govern our beliefs.
