Hello, everyone. This tutorial will show you the easiest way of baking shadows and running them in ZEQ2-lite.

Before going to step 3, open the material editor (M), an select the texture(s) you're using, an turn the self illumination up to 12-20. So after you've completed everything, shading on the object won't be entirely black.

1:Cliff.(Pre-made Object)
2:Target light.
3:Vertex Paint modifier
4:Channel, Assigning Vertex Color.
5:Rendering option within the Vertex Paint modifier.
6:Exporting.

After exporting.

Add rgbgen vertex To your desired shader.

Example:

Cliff
{
   qer_editorimage maps/TournamentMap/Cliff.jpg
  {
    map maps/TournamentMap/Cliff.jpg
    rgbgen vertex
  }
}

Results ingame Below.

NOTE: Some lights do not work with this feature.

Own lights said to work.

FreeSpot
TargetSpot
DirectSpot
TargetLight

If one use a certain light, that's not listed, it may or may not work in-game.

Here's the max file for the reference.

Good Luck!

Post your work here, also.
