Hi all. This is simply a little forum post I made to voice some anger over the worst movie in history. I know this is a rather old subject but it would be interesting to know how other people reacted to the movie when they first saw it.
Personally I want to know who funded the movie so I can burn their house down .

Well... You might burn down akira Toriyama's house .
He was one of the co-producers in all... He must have too much money to care anymore .

That video alone is better than Dragonball Evolution, and costed nowhere near a million dollars.
Seriously people, is it that hard?

Stephen Chow (Shaolin Soccer) was also one of the co producers, probably got hit in the head by a soccer ball at the time.

Yes Akira Toriyama wasn't a producer for the film.
In any case here's what Toriyama had to say,
"As the original creator, I had a feeling of “Huh?” upon seeing the screenplay and the character designs, but the director, all the actors, the staff, and the rest are nothing but “ultra” high-caliber people. Maybe the right way for me and all the fans to appreciate it is as a New Dragonball of a different dimension. Perhaps, this might become a great masterpiece of power! Hey, I look forward to it!!"

Basically he had little or no say in the production of the film.

Here is why I hated the movie: Where the heck is krillin? Goku's hair. Short Oozaru. And possibly the worst problem to date... The kamehameha.
I mean my lloyd it turned from this badass wave of pure energy... To something that can conviently light candles what the heck man? Plus when tis fired in this movie its more like a loving ball than a wave.

Euh I haven't seen the movie, but if they actually credited him, and I doubt it, it was probably because he made the "original"...
How could you honestly even believe Toriyama had anything to with a movie that bad? He hardly even had anything to do with the Dragon Ball Z movies!

I never said he really had anything to do with, in fact, I haven't seen the movie either.. Mainly because I avoid it every chance I get . I have seen the opening credits briefly before changing the channel. Lawliest asked who funded the movie, and Akira could be the case. In any case, I'm not going to check the sources... I just don't feel like learning anymore about this movie....
Akira Toriyama did say that if the characters could be live-action made, he would have never made the initial anime designs. Which quite frankly, makes Dragonball Evolution's existence even more ridiculous.

Where are you getting that? That doesn't make any sense either.
Also no he couldn't have.

Exactly right.... But I dislike the idea that people will pull this interview out to try and prove facts in debates merely because AT mentioned it, when what you said is also true.... So unless he states it with a clear 100% functioning memory of his OLD series, not even everything AT says himself these days may not be 100% accurate, as he has openly admitted being rusty and forgetting many things about Dragon Ball in general...... And I think it is obviously well known that the Dragon Ball fandom discusses and debates Dragon Ball WAY MORE than AT ever put thought into it....
EDIT: I didn't write this, it was from Neoseeker. Though it very well explains what my opinion is. Try not to over-think everything in Dragon Ball Z TRL. It makes things much harder, but it does help accuracy.

Well its nice to see that people are actually responding to this post
As bad as the movie is though nothing excuses the fact that krillin was absent from the movie entirely. He wasn't even referenced. Just a loving fail.
What I dislike is that the movie that basically ruined the greatest anime of all time got such decent Box Office revenue.

I seen it, didn't even try to think it's anime based, I treated it like a completely different standalone movie and... it still inhaled like heck *intense laughter*
