Too bad, you don't live in the Netherlands.

I do! So where can I pick it up? Razz Twisted Evil

When I've got my new system, you can have my Motherboard, CPU and old Graphics Card for €80. (which is pretty darn cheap for a second hand one). The old Graphics Card is a AMD Radeon HD 4870 1GB (or 512 MB don't know anymore :V) and has half the speed of my current one.

Ordered my new system yesterday, I think I'll be able to put it in together tomorrow.

Anyways, here's the new specifications (when I put them in):

MB: Gigabyte old-Z68X-UD3H-B3 iZ68, SATA600 RAID, USB3.0 (€122.20)
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz 8MB Boxed (€266.70)
CPU Cooler: Scythe Processor Cooling Mugen 3 rev. B AMD & Intel (€39.90)
RAM (Memory): 2x G.Skill RipJaws DIMM Kit 8GB (DDR3-1600)( €83.98 )
Drive (since the new Motherboards doesn't support IDE Drives anymore): Lite-On Blu-Ray Drive IHOS104-37 4x/12x SATA (black) (€45.90)

Also going to put in my HD6970 Graphics Card (which was around €300) so ye. :V

i7 is a total waste. an I5 with 8 Gigs of ram is good enough for central processing as far as games are concerned then getting 2x PCI2.0x16 cards would suffice.

Both Gaming and work. I like running things fast and it's a good thing to upgrade since my HD6970 runs around 60-70% power as my old CPU can't handle it. :v

i7's are not a total waste for me, they are still faster. Plus, I couldn't be bothered to buy a 2500k processor. I always take the fastest system's (that I can actually afford) around and then wait more than 5 years before I get a new one.

Good for you Smile
Not really a hardcore necessity though to pick up the best on the shelf even though lot of cash! Smile
But saying that its totally based on your requirements. (I don't know what you work into)

For me my principle is easy.
I let the company fund me for EVERYTHING!!! Razz Very Happy

Nimish, Zidane is saying that the best hardware that is out now will become standard hardware in the next few years.

It's better to have high quality hardware now so that you aren't left with hardware that doesn't meet the pre-requisites for any software or program.

^ True fact there.

Also, been testing my new CPU with fraps and it doesn't lag my game at all.

I'd rather buy expensive stuff than getting cheap components and then buying ANOTHER set of components after a year (which costs way more if you buy a expensive one after a few years).
I'm pretty sure I won't be buying another system for more than 4 years or so (unless I can't handle the new games that will come out, very unlikely though).
