Respect is earned just like you Lost it,
And you wouldn't be made fun of or something if you tried to actually make something nice, try editing Piccolo or making something from more models, make a character he/she doesn't need to be perfect but still, no one's gonnna dislike you for it.
Forget the Respect, if you show your true skills it will come back to you.
Don't think Negative and do something that's worth because wasting your time is worth it, Time is Money my Friend time is money

Totally agree with Kai. You have the skill to do it. Try to use this 'skill' in something related to the project. Then you'll earn you're respect for sure. don't go around joking all the time.
