Maybe you should set up servers to internet they're probably set up to LAN or favorites or if this didn't help download the master server fix and replace the files with the current ones and you can play

Type this in your console.
/sv_master master1.ioquake3.org or is it
/sv_ master1 master.ioquake3.org
Type one of these in your console then refresh it.All the servers should appear on the screen.But if none of it works then type this in your console-
/connect windows.stealthrider.de
That should do the trick.
