the forums are not the same any more , 2-3 years ago I would even leave the forums for a day , now I go on weeks with out logging in , it's not because I have new activities trust me I'm idle most of the time on net or working in max but it lacks the charm now :/
2-3 years ago Nello/Anty/Gigirs/TRL and others didn't even exist as active contributors. The overall production quality and speed of release of addons has gone up five-fold easily since those days.

Zeth nello or the other are producing the same addons over timw when rasengan did of the same quality , with only anty with noticeable changes

Rasengan wasn't submeshing his models, creating custom shading bands, or building damaged states for each.

He also never released anything because the exporting process was a mystery to him. kind of like me. 
But rasengan still comes around from time to time. Steadily working on that awesome map of his. Most of the guys who ever made an addon are still around with the exception of Mastap.
So if you want some crazy development spree, it's just a matter of rallying the troops around a time where they all have like 2 weeks off.
