While I want to be helpful to you, I'd like to point out that all of these authors releasing yet another "the best pack in the world" is what causes problems like this. In retrospect, it almost ought to be mandatory for pack makers to answer these questions for you guys! The real solution is to STOP making addon packs, and just release normal addons. Or heck, an even better option would be to strive to get each addon to SVN quality/accuracy standards, and just upload it there!
But no, that doesn't help you. We're stuck in a world where these addon packs are what apparently drives the community. Cry with me, won't you?
Anyway, the solution to your problem, as is, is to download those gosh-awful sized packs, sort through the trash, like, say, all of the characters that are exactly like others. Find the ONE character that you DO want, in the "players" folder. An appropriate example being vegetaChangedOneThingAndNowItsBrandNew. Now, I'll copy that to MY SVN version, but I'll also have to locate the appropriate script for my totally new Vegeta in the "scripts" folder. You'll need to copy that, as well. Now, if you're in for a real treat, even some skills have been slightly modified! You're going to have to copy those, too. So you'll have to find out which skills that particular character is using. You'll want to copy those to the appropriate folder, as well. Our totally 100% new Vegeta is, unfortunately, only using reskins of current attacks, so we'll have to find these new textures for those skills, usually in the "skills" folder, and also, the scripts for them as well, located, once again, in the "scripts" folder.
It's really just about sifting through the trash, finding the folders that are useful to what you want to copy, and making sure they end up in the appropriate place on your svn build.

It's more or less the same procedure, just looking in the(duh) maps folder instead of the players folder...
As Skatter said though, making packs is counterproductive to the goals of the ZEQ2 and ZEQ2-Lite projects. Why don't you try making something new and original? It doesn't have to be fancy to just start learning, I mean look at my Bob-omb addon. It was so simple anyone could have made it had they wanted; I only did it because I was bored...

you need the patience to look all the things in each gamepack.. is not so easy.. but to be sure of what you will paste in your 1536 open all the skin files, shaders, psys etc and see from where the things come..
