Hmmm... I've kind of just always worked in computer repair/troubleshooting, even as far back as the early 1990s. I currently work as a consultant for a few businesses, as well as having a few residential clients.
However, my interest, especially as of late, is leaning more and more toward alternative medicines/remedies/health techniques, and how they mesh with "traditional" medicine, and why both are equally important in the balance of health.
Video gaming design and development would be a super awesome career path, but I don't feel like I have the skills to justify pursuing it. That could always turn around, though, if I magically get better. They should make RARE CANDY for people like me

I smell a reference to Pokemon.
Anyway, rare candy are not as good as Effort Value training Pokemon. Maybe you just aren't tackling development the correct way.

I've been a member for over a year now and haven't seen ANYONE open a thread like this. What took you guys so long?
Anyway, I'm kind of torn here... I've always wanted to make video games, and I've always been a good drawer, but for the longest, I didn't care how. Eventually art didn't satisfy me anymore. It didn't move... It's lacking in identifiable function just sitting there on a sheet of paper, utterly lifeless. I had to bring it to life somehow. To animate it.
However, video games had always been more enticing. I just knew that the thought creating an entire working universe stemmed from your imagination was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard, and if I lived long enough, I hoped to do the same.
As passionate as I was, I didn't see me taking college courses for it in the future. Looking back at it now, I never truly believed I was capable of taking the field (I still don't, really), but that was because I always knew my ambitions, maturity, background, mental disorders, priorities, and stress would claim me.
...I wasn't a very "positive" child.
Modeling is just the beginning. As long as I strive to bring art to life, I plan to cover every subject! That includes texturing/UVW mapping, storyboards, concept art, and even programming!
