This game is over-hyped...
The soundtracks from the original versions of the games had to be taken out, due to copyright issues.
The game is just an exact copy of the original games put together with slightly enhanced graphics.
It's just another way to get money.
I wouldn't be so harsh if it actually had new content, but I didn't hear about any new modes, unlockables, characters, maps, or anything different other than graphics and a replacement soundtrack.

Well, I bought it regardless. I know it's a way to make money Link but Dragonball Budokai 1 and 3 were one of my favorite games as a child. Sure, I could have just gotten my emulator and replay these titles over. It's just that I REALLY love budokai series. Also, about the soundtrack. It's not that bad but certain tracks do not fit the cut scenes or stages. I'm thinking of modding my disc and replacing the new soundtracks with the old ones.
Hmm and other thing Link the new games that come out nowadays are the same thing. for example, Halo 4, Call of Duty and Assassins Creed. They have better graphics, a continuation of the storyline, same game play mechanics and maybe some new online modes. To be honest I would rather re buy old games than the new crappier ones that come out now.

Exactly what I mean about the graphics. I don't like the importance put on "realistic" graphics, since all it is is basically a crapjob of a story with some high-def content. That kind of game is only good for Multiplayer, and that isn't so great for people without Gold, or a terrible internet connection with a Wii or an insecure connection with a PlayStation 3.
I play games for the story only. The multiplayer has always been one of my least favorite ways to play the game, unless the multiplayer is local or has a system link.
Also, the original Assassin's Creed was more about the gameplay than anything. That series (so far) has the perfect balance of gameplay and HD graphics.

No, he is not wrong those are not the original soundtracks of Budokai 1 and 3. I played the game last night and none of the soundtracks were the same. This game uses soundtracks from Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3 and Tag Team.

It has tracks from Raging Blast (1) and Ultimate Tenkaichi as well. I watched a playthrough of some of the story mode... some traks actually seem to fit well.....but not as good as the original of course.

Well, I sold my PlayStation 2 games with my PlayStation 2 when I found out that my PlayStation 3 can't play them...plus it's $40 bucks for 2 games. Aside from the replacement score... I still like the deal. I don't think it's that bad...

I'm sharing RealDeal's views here. While if you compare the old ones to the newly released ones, it obviously is NOT worth it to buy it again... Those who did NOT buy the original should indeed buy this one for the slightly improved experience.
It's the same as the FIFA series. It's obviously not worth it to buy all of the games, so just buy the latest one you can still afford then repeat 3-4 years later. I see no problem with it.

I would buy the game, but I don't have a PlayStation 3, so I just play PlayStation 2 games on my computer through Emulator

Got it. And it has a reversible cover that has the JP covers for 1 and 3. Much better in my opinion.

I won't be getting this. Reason: the soundtrack, I know I sound like a fanatical enthusiastic young child but that's really the only thing that makes me go back to getting to play my PlayStation 2 again. While some of the new (and I mean really new, cause I don't remember earing some of them in the newer games) are pretty good and fit, while some others are there because they have to (just hear the opening, It's horrendous).
Also I don't understand why the heck they couldn't get both dubs for Budokai 1. I have the European Version of B1 and B3 and B1 only has Japanese voices with some laughlable subtitles (Goku is angry, he's going to power up, what does he call Nappa?...THAT'S RIGHT, A MEANIE!), They did get it for B3 (which again is just the collector edition of B3), I really don't understand why they couldn't get for B2. And also the gameplay, while the gameplay in the Z-series is great and what-not, not having some of the changes introced in IW,Burst Limit and Spirit Bomb:AR really makes the gameplay feel old.
