Uhh. I'm not sure on the specifics of what the issue you see is, but the first thing that strikes me is those layers of search bars. Toss 'em out the door and kill all of your extensions/plugins for one! You might even try to push to another, more optimized browser like Chrome or Firefox.
Edit : If that is Firefox, sorry for not being able to tell.

Probably because the videos with the black bars were recorded with a 5:4 or similar aspect ratio, while the other ones are widescreen. (?)

I doubt its that because older ones were only in normal aspect ratio,never tried widescreen ratio in my life
edit-I use WLMM

the latest ones are 1440*1080 something but previous and older videos were hardly 720*480 and they are not having the bars

1280 x 720 -> widescreen on 16:9
1440 x 900 -> black lines on 16:9
1920 x 1080 -> widescreen on 16:9
1600 x 1200 -> no idea
but if you only can record 1440 x 900 videos(19 inch monitor), use 1280 x 720 16:9
because 1280 x 720 16:9 had all the detail from 1440 x 900 its fine for gaming,
1440 x 900 or bigger resolutions is for Desktop recording where important to see details like fonts!
If you stretch a 1440 x 900 video to 1600 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080 the video not going to looks better, its going to look WORSE because you stretched the pixels..

my monitor 19 inch, so I need to use smaller resolution to remove black bars, that's why I record games in 1440 x 900 if the game runs fine in 1440 x 900 while recording, than I'll change the aspect ratio to 16:9 and produce the video in 1280 x 720 so than I won't get black lines.
if the game run fine in 1280 x 720 while recording, than I'll record the game in 1280 x 720 and than I'll don't need to change the aspect ratio or the resolution.
24-inch widescreen LCD monitor has 1920 × 1200, which is OVER FULL HD.
If you record in 1920 × 1200, than change the video aspect ration to 16:9 and save the video in: 1920 x 1080
If your resolution was smaller(1600), than you have two option:
1.save time and render the video as 16:9 1280 x 720
2.stretch the pixels and wait a lot, that's: 16:9 1920 x 1080
I prefer 1280 x 720
