I just wonder.... Have any addon makers EVER made a character without taking/ripping/using the model, the texture or at least parts of them?

I mean, every single model looks the same! So, has anyone ever made a character from scratch?

Well sure, there were mastap's teen Gohan, Goten, Brolly, Trunks and maybe I'm even forgetting some more. These were the full package all made by him from model to animation, to attack sprites. All made by him from scratch.

Then there is the lipid Buu that gigirs made and Anty recently rigged and got in game.

Can't remember much else, most are just head and texture swaps yes.

If I had to crown an addon king it would still be mastap by far after all this time. Noone has surpassed him.

We don't have so many fans what can model rigg and texture....

mastap was the only one who completely did an addon for ZEQ2 lite (Trunks,Goten,(Buu which he only gave to a few guys))

this thread make me angry hahaha ..
I did something by the way..

it's a talk show think okay..

as he said TRL howewer who made all but all, animations included is Mastap15.. as addon maker talking,
my rate about his work ,Splendid animations really ,but models inaccurate and textures without details..

Shenku also did Videl,ChiChi,Murasaki,Shenku addon..

gigirs50 did many models like.. Dabura,Kidbuu,superbuu,lipidbuu,evil Buu,imperfectcell 2 and more..many edits
and rigged many models also

TRL did many great textures,KAMI palace the best that ever game have,his Yamucha still unfinished..(the one I like so much).

I did TORA from scratch except armor.. and with gigirs50 the Ginyu force head models he started and I've finished(we work howewer togheter almost always) I did recently a Paikuhan head model far from scratch.. I did a Piccolo head whch open the mouth with the mouth modelled inside with real theet, a new Frieza 4 form head with the right nose(done by gigirs50 final touched by me) many other edits GOOD edits like the vegetaSaiyan and cell new heads more accurately done By Vlad and me for the fixes ..

there is Blaize who made Nappa,TRL textured him
he did also the Brolly in all forms..

now you know something.. help this Guy to remember some more maybe I did not said all about..

Anty haven't done models but Rigged Many But many and did really something by the way.. without him there will be not so many addons released in this community and without his releases I would not be able to edit them To recreate Tenshinhan for example..

That's all true Nello. But the reason I didn't even include myself is because I never was able to do everything. The tags and exporting is still a mysterie to me. You, Anty and gigirs have a great volume of work, but you never were able to do everything either. But working together is just as good I guess. It's just a pitty that not many of gigirs models are ingame yet.

Imagine after you finished an entire model from scratch up to a perfec rig, even then is when the most work starts. If you want to completely make unique animations for the character that's going to take most time of all the work related to an addon. So to consider that mastap did it for every single one of his addons is just mind blowing to me.

Shenku sorry man I forgot about your Videl, you came pretty close too on making her completely unique. I don't know if all of her animations are.

Not all of her animations, no... For the most part, I loaded up Goku's animations to have easy to convert timings for the animation.cfg file, and just replaced a large chunk of the sequences with same-length animations that better suited Videl. The mêlée animations are largely unchanged though, so those are still Goku's.

The plan was to eventually replace all of her animations to be wholly unique, but I never had the time to do it, nor did I ever get around to fixing her attack animations, which have always been buggy...

At present, Shenku and the Bob-omb are the only ones that I've made which utilize only personally created animations...(Bob-omb being a bit of a cheater since he technicaly only has two animations total...)
