I have heard that many of you are tired of putting always "/map name" to play with a Quake3 or Dragon Ball Quake map in .pk3 format
What about putting it in the main menu with the landing map ??
okay this is how to proceed:
1.Download a map in .pk3 format like Stadium or budoukai from the topic called " Check for addons maps..."
2.Open your .pk3 file with winrar ; Your winrar won't open it if you don't put the configurations
3.you will see a lot of folders like: env scripts ambience maps etc... Extract all of them directly to ZEQ2Contents IF they aren't in a folder
4.Enter "mapname".arena (for example:Budoukai.arena) in your scripts folder and copy and paste the text you will see in a file called maps.arena which is located in maps folder
delete the bots field if you see "shilo gothax" or your map won't work
5.Verify that you have:
-Textures in env folder or in textures folder
-shader file in scripts folder
-bsp and aas files in maps folder
6.You map isn't working ? these are some causes:
-you see your map without shot ? that's nothing,copy and paste "levelshots" folder content in maps folder
-You enter the game ,you see your map and you click on it but when you put "fight!" button nothing happens? Then your shader file isn't in the right place
It should be in scripts folder
-You return to the main menu each connect ? sorry your map is corrupted find another *intense laughter*
-You can't see some textures ? that's not my problem
7.that's all! you have now more than one map in ZEQ2 maps menu

When you return to menu after connecting there is still hope. Currently .wav files are not supported. When you convert all .wav files in the pk3 to .ogg the map will work.

make it a fixed map pack so we don't need to bother with that ...I mean a fixed pack like extreme map pack 1 or something like that

and in both scripts and maps? or only one of them?
