Everybody watched Brolly's movies of Dragon Ball Z know that he have several transformations:
Normal stage:
Super Saiyan:
Legendary Super Saiyan:
And Super Saiyan 3 (raging blast):
And "this" from 11 movie of Dragon Ball nad 8th of Dragon Ball Z:
 What stage is this before turn Legendary Super Saiyan?
Semi Super Saiyan like when Goku fighted lord Slug, or a colour mistake?

I would count that as Super Saiyan only its RSSJ (Restrained Super Saiyan).

No he's just being controlled while he's a Super Saiyan, and it was nightime during that fight, so everything was dark.

Wasn't the whole point about the "restraining" head band to actually stop him activating Super Saiyan mode completely while the device is activated?
I'd say Brad's correct in categorising it as a pre-Super Saiyan state, as while it's true he's trying to activate Super Saiyan but is being "restrained" from doing so by the device, he's not actually in a Super Saiyan state so calling it "RSSJ" or "suppressed Super Saiyan" whatever is a misnomer as that implies he's actually in a Super Saiyan state, which he isn't due to the device.

Yeah, The device was made so that Paragus could control him.
And he can only be controlled to a certain point. If his power gets over a certain threshold the device loses effect.
So I have to side with Alex. The device stops him from using his "true" Super Saiyan potential. That way Paragus stays in control.
My interpretation of this matter at least.
That aside. Why would you go and label it? Not everything needs an explanation or a name. Even if you give it one, it would be false.
