For me its Avatar and Iroh from Avatar
Not an anime, but SUPERB series nevertheless.
But it has some mixed colors from cartoon and anime.
And I like Avatar better than any anime! It totally rocks! you'll be thinkin about it after every episode for hours! A great storyline, and great animation and design! Three cheers for avatar!

You can't go wrong with Zaraki Kenpachi, he's my favourite for the obvious reasons.
1. Despite his seeming disregard for any strategy in his fights and his self-admitted aversion to thinking during battle, he is adept at finding and exploiting weaknesses in his opponents techniques.
2. He more than makes up for his faults in sheer power in regards to his lack of knowledge in the art of Kidou, which in itself is just truly bad a$$.
