yeah make the map more shaded. the map is brillant, especially with the ice, the ice has a nice glow to it, make it glow more. it gives a very cold feeling, good job.

Yeah most maps seem to have this problem. Maybe Zeth would like to fill us in on this. I guess the lack of shadows is to make it look cartoony. Cellshading on maps isn't possible?

I really love that iceberg man. You're doing a great job.

You can apply "stepped-shading" or "outlines" to anything you'd like. I'm guessing the problem is that a raw texture is just being applied without a shader. Baking in some lightmaps will help accent depth as well. Do this in your favorite application, then apply it as a filtered 2nd texture stage in the shader.

Good to know. But why didn't you use it in the Raditz map then? The car and farm have no shading on them.

Most of the map is ancient and was just mildly spruced up before release. Additionally, I'm not certain if using a stepped band would look properly (can't recall testing). Feel free to update/fix this yourself and if it looks alright, it'll likely find it's way into a future release Smile

That's fiddle sticks man. Yours has icebergs and that's very unique. You have to finish it. Don't be lazy.

*laughing out loud*^^

it may be dark but it has good models and structures. I can't make such fine things. Play on it for a little while and you'll start loving it too. Smile

I don't know whether I should post this but I'll do it anyways.

The next update I was planning to give you guys before... here it is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fkZ8hzewj0

I added snowfall over the iceberg in the night version of the map.

the map is coming up nicely, I love the snow, it makes it a lot "cooler"..can't wait to fight on that map, or even train my powers there.

Just make the day version skybox a little bit more grey and then the white snow should be visible.
Still I would try to finish this map, if I were you, because you can say that about almost any map you'd want to model, that it's already been done before. You just have to try to do better.

The map looks very well. Personally I would like to see a Room of Time and Space that was just a plain white outter relm with an invisible wall. Let alone if you think about it the room would be in perfect darkness but this is an Anime.

You're making quite some progress Niels. How is the part with the hourglasses coming along? You may need some new textures there.
