Post here you're favorite RTS games.I will try not to spoil anything about the games that I will talk about.

My 1st favorite RTS is Star Wars empire at war forces of corruption.

Having control over the whole imperial army and the f'ing Death Star=WIN!Plus that you can battle in space and on land! How cool is that?!
In the campaign you have to revive the Consortium,a pirate "organization".
Small spoiler:at the last mission of the campaign you get to control the Eclipse Star destroyer.

The game has 3 factions:the Consortium, the Empire and the Rebels.
The factions are pretty well balanced, although the Empire is a little stronger mainly because of the Imperial Star destroyers.

Another game mode is the Galactic conquest in which you chose a faction and you have a set time of days, not actual days,to conquer a set of planets, well the easiest way to win this is by choosing the Empire and building the Death Star as soon as possible!

With it there is no way that you can loose, only if the rebels make the red squadron and blow it up but it never happened to me since I always take 4 imperial star destroyers in the fleet.

Every faction has its advantages, well mostly, the Consortium can make easy money by corrupting the planets, the Empire has the Death Star, and the Rebels...well the thing is that they don't really have any outstanding advantage that I can speak off, well at least they have Admiral Akbar who tells you to be "beware of TRAPS!"

At the 2nd spot I have a tie between Red alert 3 and Starcraft 2

Red alert 3:

Well you can chose the campaign in red alert 3 depending on the faction you chose, you have 3 factions:the Soviet union, the Allies and the Empire of the rising sun.

The plot basically involves the Empire of the rising sun invading the world, the other 2 factions having to retake they're territories.
This game features live action cutscenes with, ehem, interesting women.

Its a good game although it kind of lost some things that I liked at Red alert 2 like the Soviet's nuke, but it gained even more features like the ability to build stuff almost everywhere.

Every faction has its strong points, the Empire of the rising sun can build lets say a power plant anywhere you want, you don't depend on the base, while the Soviet has more power and more energy thanks to the nuclear plant,I still need to find a good thing about the Allies tough,I don't really like to play with them, but that time bomb is pretty cool.

Oh and speaking about the Soviet union I want to say this:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
In Soviet Russia,
Poems write you!

Starcraft 2:

Well the main plot is this, you are Jim Raynor and you form a rebellion against the Dominion Emperor Arcturus Mengsk who made Jim look like a terrorist, plus that the Zerg came back and started a new invasion. It may seem easy but there is more than meets the eye.You usually get 4 planets/main missions to chose from:

One is based on gathering some artifacts to sell to the Moebius who helped Tychus Findlay to escape from prison only to make him wear a battle suit as his "prison",if he takes it off all of his organs shut off.

The 2nd one is based on helping a human/terran colony to survive, such as protecting it from the Zerg or the Protoss. You can chose later to exterminate the colony when it gets infected by the Zerg.

The 3rd one is based on helping Gabriel Tosh to gather some minerals and a special kind of gas to revive his "brothers and sisters" known as specters, former ghosts, again you get to chose between reviving his buddies or ditching him in the favor of eradicating them.

The 4th one is the main plot, although every other planet helps but yeah,in which you lead the resistance,oh and you get a f'ing giant robot known as the Odin, which is basically the best weapon in the whole game, its kind of sad that you get it only in campaign, but the ship engineer gives you an alternative to a more "practical" weapon known as the Thor,he is basically an Odin scaled down, well at least you get Arnold at the Thor's "wheel".

As a side note Zeratul, heavily wounded, comes in the ship to give Jim a crystal that contains his (Zeratul's) memories,a bunch of side missions which let you play as the Protoss in Zeratul's quest for a prophecy.

There is a feature that lets you research the other 2 factions so you get stuff like better armor, ships and other stuff.Plus that you can upgrade everything in the armory, such as an upgrade that rebuilds the Thor once t gets destroyed.

Now the factions,you have:

The Terrans, humans who originate from a colony of criminals from Earth, this is overall my favorite faction since I usually build a bunch of Thors and own everything in my way.

The Protoss,a race of "Lloyds",they basically rely on energy based attacks, again build a bunch of Colossus and own everything in its way...unless its an air unit in which case you can't attack.

The Zerg, again another faction that I don't really like,it can be kind of confusing at you're 1st play,1st you have to make some Overlords to puke on the land so you can build stuff over it,the other structures serve the role of only unlocking some stronger units and upgrades, the strongest unit of the Zerg is the Ultralisk which dies kind of quick.

Well this will surely occupy some forum space,oh well at least I didn't make a thread in which I say that my icon is going to absorb you.

Well Konan,I don't really like C&C 4 since it lost basically all the stuff that made the C&C games great.

I bought StarCraft II the first day it came out but I can't play it because my old PC is still broken and this Mac doesn't have the requirements to play it. Crying or Very sad

StarCraft and Warcraft III will always be favorites of mine for RTS games.

Yeah, when I saw the system requirements and that it requires 12 gigs to install I was kind of stunned,I really didn't expect a RTS to be so demanding. But I can't complain about the graphics so yeah.

My PC can run it just fine but I have some problem where I turn my PC on and on the monitor it says "Monitor going to sleep".. So the Computer will be on but the monitor just goes to sleep therefore I can't do anything but look at a black screen. Not sure how to fix it. I think it has something to do with the video card or motherboard.

I have the same problem, maybe it's the fault of monitor because my LCD/TFT Xerox do it, my old CRT monitor won't..
You can't fix it, but if you turn on the monitor first, than the PC, than the monitor won't going black(I hope) because its work for me, so don't turn on the monitor lately.

Yeah just finished Starcraft 2.

SPOILER ALERT:

Its kind of sad,for me at least, that Tychus dies in the end,I had a hint that he will die but not like that, getting shot by his best friend,I expected that last bullet in Jim's gun to have Mengsk's name on it.

How can I turn the monitor on first? The monitor draws power from the turned on PC. Rolling Eyes
