Did you set up the "checkoput" option?
If you don't even have that, then you need to reinstall tortoise and remember to activate the right click menus (which should be on by default though)

And if you have a 64 bit system (Vista, Windows 7...), then you should download a 64-bit version of TortoiseSVN. (You can find it on google)

Correct.
You need to rightclick on an empty foulder prefferably named after what you are downloading (in this case ZEQ2-lite) and select "Checkout" Then you will see a pop up where you need to fill in the repository server info. When done the server will send the files you need to you. And then you will get a whole lot more sub menus under the "Tortoise SVN" option of the rightclick on the foulder.

I was complaining because that didn't pop up when I right clicked a folder....but I got the 64-bit one and it worked so thanks anyway
