Sunday, October 18, 2009how to get back original HUD? |

Sunday, October 18, 2009You should have backed up the hud file but if you did not do that extract this in your ZEQ2 folder to return to normal

Monday, October 19, 2009Or you can simply delete the modified hud, then do an SVN update on your main folder to get the official files again. |

Monday, October 19, 2009The lesson here is to ALWAYS back up files which you are overwriting. It's never good to have something messed up and unable to be "removed" because you've didn't have a backup of the original file. |

Monday, October 19, 2009That's usually the case, Alex, however when you have a version control system at the helm, backing up individual changes is a thing of the past! (although I'm assuming the person in question did not realize this) |

Monday, October 19, 2009Indeed, but for a user who fails to understand the importance of backing up files they're overwriting and thus are unaware how to restore such files to their original state in the typical manner, concepts such as version control would go straight over their head

Monday, October 19, 2009Even from a user-perspective, it's still much easier to rely on a version control system for several changes in files. As long as you're working from an existing (or no) version of the file, you won't have conflict or update issues whatsoever.
