I need help with addons from how to get character. and maps to how to open up a Rar. file I just heard about this game and I really like I downloaded it no problem and I can't get more character. when I download a link for a character. I get a rar file and don't know what to do with it so if anyone can help me with my problem THANK YOU!

To use addons that are in .rar files, you need a program such as Winrar to unpack the files with. Most addons need to be unpacked into your ZEQ2Contents folder, which is contained in the main folder where you installed the game. Some addons need to be installed to more specific locations, and usually include instructions of some form in the .rar file.
In short, the character files go into ZEQ2Contents/players, and script files go into ZEQ2Contents/scripts.

When using Winrar, or which ever program you have, there should be an option to "extract" the files. You just specify where to extract the files to(In most cases this would be the "ZEQ2Contents" folder), and it does most of the work.

I don't have problem adding the characters, I have problem playing them, every custom character I've added is Goku. I mean if I choose it to play I get Goku instead of the character.

You add Goku and spawn as Goku. what's the problem?

I didn't meen that. I mean I add Gogeta and I spawn as Goku

cause those characters were meant for public beta 1 smartypants *laughing out loud* you'd have to do some work to get them in Public Beta 2

I need help trying to add characters I already extracted the folder and pu it in ZEQ2/contents folder then I try playing the game but the add ons are not their.
