Good stuff. That should be a relief to be honest. Most of the hard work has been done previously, that is always nice.

I did have a small suggestion that perhaps you guys can look into. It would be interesting to see the camera follow the beam head just after firing an attack. Perhaps, it could be an option that you could turn on or off. Obviously it wouldn't be realistic to the series, but it does get hard shooting someone who is about the size of an ant (when high up in the sky).

Isn't there some beamhead camera in the options? Let's see... Not operational yet.

The Beam Control option has to do with camera/crosshair behavior when using 'bendy beams' only.

There are no immediate plans to do a "beam head follow" camera due to Quake 3's design insistence on the camera ALWAYS being relative to the player. While this could be worked around and implemented, we feel that OTHER features (such as being power struck) will fit the series much better. Most energy attacks are intended to only be used while targeting the opponent (thus helping with aim).

Additionally, the "bendy beam" attacks that are currently present on a couple characters were only there for "show of implementation" rather than realistic keep-stance. Bendy beams are incredibly impractical for actual gameplay -- especially since a targeting system is in place. As amusing as it may be, having players write their names in the sky isn't a very accurate presentation of the series OR as easy as simply targeting and hitting someone.

A server-side option for "crazy beams" could still be implemented (if requested) that allowed very fast moving bendy beams to exist, but would likely just be for gimmicky laughs more than anything else.

However, a variation of the current bendy beam system WILL still stay on when locked on though since full control is not granted. With this and the planned power struck feature, well charged attacks won't simply be avoided by an opponent side-stepping 3 inches.

Simply because currently the Masenko is the only beam that's set as guided. The rest have been configured to fire in a straight line.

The Masenko's bending-factor was actually a left-over setting that happened to slip by. In the next release, most beams will NOT have manual control due to it being an impractical mechanic to have; however, they will automatically bend to follow targets while you are locked on to someone to simulate the rare series instances of this.

it would be better that way,so the enemy couldn't dodge it by moving a inch

can't you make a transparent model for each character because kamehameha and other beams are tough to hit your opponent because you know your back comes in the middle Question Question Question Question Question Question Question Question Question Question

Aiming was never a pivotal thing in Dragon Ball Z.
It's all about sensing.
