I saw this section can have questions asked, so here I go:
What do you guys do to work on this game?
I am a pretty decent user of:
google sketchup
blender 3D
most of all adobe software (which I don't have access to now =[ )
also my server is 8 cores with 16GiB of ram I am not sure if servers are still needed after reading through the server thread.. also I was wondering what this game requires to run the server.. more bandwidth requirements than hardware
thank you and hello to everyone I am new here, I like this place

And again Welcome
'you should post a picture of one of you're works of a character fully rendered and everything if you have time (Cooler all forms specifically he's cool to me)

Hey,
The game is written in C language, mainly via scripts.
For models/maps you can use any 3D editor you want (3DSMax, Lightwave, Milkshape, XSI, Blender, Maya, GTKRadiant (for maps), ZBrush, Mudbox). Anything works.
More servers are always appreciated. If you can host and run couple servers, it would just make people happier. Well, I'd say it's needed more bandwith then a good PC, because this game is so simplified that it can run on super old machines. However, any kind of dedicated server isn't memory usage free, so it might take some of your server's memory.

Alright that sounds cool, when I am home I'll see about setting this up, the server can be ran in linux fedora? I'll also play with some 3D stuff when I have free time

The things I have done are nowhere near as good as the 3D characters people have put together on this forum that I've seen.. I'd have to do more practice though I work too much.. only discovered this place from browsing while I am on vacation =[
edit:
I have found this sparkling meteor gamepack, I'll read about it in the thread and should be okay with putting that on the server

Hello and welcome to the community!
Servers are always appreciated. If you are capable of hosting a 24/7 server, please do not hesitate to do it. But make sure you put the revision number (in this case 1536) noted in front of the server name. I would prefer honestly a pure official version server without addons, but that choice is entirely left to you wether you want to host an addon server or not. But I wouldn't recommend it. If you do, also mention it in the server name.
Greetings.

2 people fighting? okay.... Let's see....
Got it! If you're other computer is using the same modem, set up a server with LAN in it.

You'd have to get a network monitor to measure this, but it'll still flux wildly based on the amount of entities in the scene. With just two players flying around, a dialup server would be viable (as it was with vanilla Quake 3), however once you have many players or many entities (like attacks) flying around, your bandwidth costs will flux up wildly.
I don't think an accurate gauging on network traffic has been profiled yet, so feel free to post your findings!

There's nothing stopping him from hosting multiple servers from the same computer thus he could easily have a standard ZEQ2-lite revision as well as an addon pack (or two).

Did you check out my new character creation tutorial(stickied at the top of this section)? It has a link in there to a fantastic modeling tutorial that covers many of the basics.
