New Gameplay Modes for ZEQ2 lite.

Just wondering if its possible to implement the following gameplay modes,

1. Capture the flag/Dragon Ball

Either steal dragon balls from the opposing team, or collect them from around the map and bring them to home base.
Once all dragon balls are brought in a timer starts during which the opponents have to steal the dragon balls they don't have.

2. Base Defense

basically having one team eliminate all opponents and take over a certain area controlled by the opposing team

3. Race

By providing a boost meter, have players race around an aerial track with loops that the player can go though to replenish the boost meter.

I thought I'd make this topic because the current gameplay is getting kind of repetitive (in the sense that there's no choice but playing a free for all death match.)
NOT that when I get online every fight is the same, the gameplay experience varies depending on who I'm fighting.
Its just that I felt that these options may expand the game considerably.

*I do not as yet have the scripting knowledge to implement this but I'd like to see this work.

I like the idea... Too bad the game is supposed to be similar to the anime, so you don't really see many scenes where a team opposes another to take over their base or do a race around the track. One thing I'd add is the twist where getting all seven Dragon Balls instantly wins you the match. Razz

My thoughts exactly, visually, graphic and gameplay'wise its true to the anime, also your camera isn't fixed on the opponent permanently like the Budokai Tenkachi series so it gives the feeling of open world limitlessness.

But there's so much space in the maps, and since a story mode isn't yet under development (I'm not certain about this) the space could be put to good use if certain map modes were available ingame/on seperate servers with AI scripts to regulate them.

kind of like the Mount and Blade series, which has multiple gameplay modes.

There's no limit to roleplaying, but trying something like base defense without an AI script to determine who is winning makes it confusing.

Also I played track mania nations forever recently, it has a ranking system that's updated online automatically, perhaps something on these lines could be implemented here to sort out the issue of players not agreeing on rankings.
