Just subdivide them for a higher polycount.


That'll just unnecessarily tessellate the inner mesh. The silhouette details won't be altered.

Most models this low in polycount are only useful for [a] games where the camera view is distant and not all details will be seen [b] mobile platforms where the hardware isn't as capable (this will be phased out in a few more years) or [c] instances where you need hundreds/thousands of a model rendered at once.
