I edited the current aura a bit.
See if you like it
I'll post pictures of the original and the new one.

Cool, but very exaggerated I think.

How so?
by the way when I was editing this, I thought that auras should be able to be unique for different characters. So every character should have an aura file like this.
For example Super Saiyan 3 tends to have a more circular aura. Also stronger characters could have bigger auras. Should be cool. Of course this needs coding.

thanks trl...by the way..I think this one is better..its more...like Dragon Ball Z ...if you see the spikes..they are not so liniar or something...don't know how to put it in words...anyway....also..the color being a bit more white(not that transparant) is also okay I think...in Dragon Ball Z you coul see the auras somewhat pretty clear so... good work

I've been doing some mockups of a potential aura effect in 3DSMax, mostly to illustrate the technical aspect of the idea rather than an actual example of how it will look as the aura spike texture I was using wasn't particularly great.
Then I remembered about this so I decided to slap this one on (recoloured and stretched horizontally so it tiles properly) and it looks quite spiffing if I do say so myself.
I'll post a thread about the technique tomorrow with explanatory pictures and possibly a video if I can get it uploaded, but for now have a peek at how it looks with TRL's aura spike.

It looks like that should be for VERY powerful players..like players with over 30k power =D

Or it could be for all players? Why would anyone want to limit that aura to people with 30k+ power level... that's silly.

Indeed, it is a very "powerful" looking aura, but that is because its an image of the mockup in a "powerful" state
As I said, ill explain the details of this aura effect tomorrow.

Looks cool Alex. Too bad it had to be stretched.
I'd be happy to make individual sprites for each tile so it doesn't look so repeated.
Can't wait to see the vid.

I tried it out in teambuild.
Also a little demonstration of the new trail sprite.
Enjoy.
Tell me if you tried it.
