Just curious. With every release.. are you guys planning to add a new character each time? Do you have a set list of who you want to be in-game? If so, what would be the maximum amount by default, that you'd like in-game?

We'll likely be releasing as we have been currently -- by saga in sets. There are a MESS of characters that have already been modeled/textured from the past and most just need to be rigged/animated and assigned skills. Some of the older ones will need touch-ups, of course.

some releases will be bigger/smaller then other based on the amount of characters in that specific saga.
The first release featured Goku/Piccolo/Raditz.
the second should then feature Nappa/Vegeta/krillin.

we might leave out some characters to keep the balance between good and evil. but those characters might be released later. (think of characters like Tenshinhan/chau-su/Yamucha)

Don't you think that after I.e Cell Saga characters like Krillin, Nappa will be lacking in identifiable function?? Cell has 3 forms, which each he gains power..... and Nappa? He is just a poor boy compared to Cell . Or maybe we won't be able to play characters from different sagas??

It would be interesting if the sagas were locked somehow. So in-game you'd choose a Cell Saga button and only get access to THOSE characters. Otherwise yeah... Nappa = dead.

As far as I remember from the old forum days, is the fact that certain character were indeed not available in saga's they didn't exist in (anymore).

I don't know if this will be the deal as this is not the ZEQ2 from yore...

And while other characters like krillin who do exist in the A.E. Cell saga are less powerful, I think either be really good and know how to play you're game might help, or characters might be made equilly powerful, otherwise everyone will just take the strongest one out there every time

And by the way, Heya guys. Yes yes, the golden child has returned!

That's a concern for a lot later, we're still at the Saiyan saga. On the original forums ideas on fusion have been discussed, but frankly I don't remember very well what the main ideas were.

yeah those Andriods have been modeled a long time ago. Their quality will be less than the current models so they have to be patched up a lot. That's something that may be done a long time from now. Focus is the Saiyan saga.

ZEQ2 is, however, based on the whole Dragon Ball Z, and since old models of Buu and cell and Super Saiyan 2 Gohan have been floating around on the old forums, I'm pretty sure they will also go that far in ZEQ2 lite. So in the very distant future we will see Cell and Buu saga releases me thinks

Maybe, but what you forget is that the keyword "Lite" means a big deal here. For all we know they could be stopping at the Freeza Saga. The point I'm trying to make here is that going to the Buu Saga is pointless. There will be far too many characters to balance, and defeat their bugs. It's far too stressful, I don't care how good anyone claims they are.

You do forget that Earth Special Forces has characters from Buu Saga, although we aren't in competition with them, it'd be foolish not to at least have every character that they have and some. Specially if we already have the characters.

yeah, raw is right, make characters from all sagas, AND April Fools (JOKE, THIS ONLY A JOKE, Dragon Ball April Fools IS A JOKE TOO *intense laughter*)

ESDIT:But stop in freezer saga isn't bad idea, when the androids come everybody turns Super Saiyan: Trunks, Gohan, Vegeta, Yamucha *intense laughter*...(*laughing out loud*?) and Super Saiyan subphases... that magic thing of the Super Saiyan disappears, but stop in frieza saga is too sad, this game is the game of the year and only use 20 characters when Budokai Tenkaichi 3 have 6321765756392 with 217890628602435906359579427786 transformations *intense laughter*...

Just because Earth Special Forces has Buu Saga characters, doesn't mean a thing. ZEQ 2 Lite is planning on having almost all characters from each saga (not to mention transformations), where as Earth Special Forces chose a couple characters from each saga. you are right this could be the best Dragon Ball Z game or mod of the year, and it's on the pc, the beta is quite good enough and I'm still playing, just wish I could play the next update before I die

okay, but the most popular patch (ECX: Evolution Class eXtension) have like 31 characters with their own transformations and a program for make characters (no models *intense laughter*, only attacks, strength, number of transformations...)easy... Timothy could talking abut this

That doesn't mean anything though. Was ECX made by the Earth Special Forces staff? No. We're talking officially. Hey, if they want to clarify this now, they can easily reply and say, "We will cover all characters (who actually fought) till the end of the Buu Saga". I'm just saying I doubt it will happen. More for balance issues due to the majority not reaching Super Saiyan 3 (aside from Mystic being somewhat on par with Super Saiyan 3 power).
