the model it self weights 1790 poly's, don't mind the head and arms they are placeholders, will add more details to them later on..
I've been mostly concentrating on them legs and lower body

Oh Hey Denz,
Long time no see!
Remember me from old Dragon Ball : Source days ?
It's nice to see that someone is doing such an amazing work. And ZBrush is not a bad idea. I'm looking forward to see the results of it.
Yet, I'm not sure, but did you separate the parts of Cell 2? Because it's highly recommended to separate as more as possible when doing the sculpt for the model. Plus, I would recommend you to increase subdivision of your model (yes, turbosmooth or meshsmooth) in 3D editor (if you used that) and only then export it to ZBrush, because it will be easier for you to sculpt (subdivisions won't ruin the mesh shape and the normals will be more accurate) as the ZBrush won't ruin/deform the mesh so much. Just my two tips.

here you go guys, some progress on it, arms and some other things are done, will add hands and then add more detail on his torso, then will go with the head.
Lfs my man I do remember you, not from Dragon Ball : Source only but from Earth Special Forces also and thanks for the tips but I don't know how to use zbrush, I only like how the model renders in it
ms3d is the pure modellers software, hands down.
haven't seen your work in decades man..
ohh and by the way guys I'm not a fan.. I just like to model Dragon Ball Z stuff

I think your lower legs and feet are too big. The calves definetely should not be as thick as the thighs.
But maybe it's just the perspective.

hey, which method do you guys use? do you like
1) break down an object into the shape of the body by editing its poly,
2) draw splines from front and side views
and
3) directly place polygons in a refrence image?

The first, boxmodeling. It's a bit like real life carving out the shape with the cut tool.
