I haven't played it, maybe it's good, but does this game deserve to be rated as Half Life, Shadow Of Colossus or Grand Theft Auto III!?

well that had nothing to do with what esfer said...and I think HALO does deserve the 10/10. but the only way to know for sure is to play it yourself.

Yes it is overrated wanna know why?Well lets take other 2 games from the other systems that deserve more attention but don't get it from overrated games like HALO and Call of duty.

Prime example:

lloyd of war 3 comes out,this is one of the best games on the PlayStation 3,many people like this series but you don't get to see certain channels on YT for example post many videos about it.

Metroid other M comes out,again this game gets underrated because of other ones (you know which),but this one gets even more off the radar many critics started to complain about Samus having a voice...yes big major complain!It ruins the gameplay right?!?!?!Nope.

HALO Reach comes out,well this is a reenactment of the day that the game (more like reviewer copy) came out,tons and I mean tons of videos where made about the beta...the f'ing beta!So I expected the hype to be 10 X bigger when it will actually come out.

Well...I was right..they made tons of millions of videos based on achievements,gameplay commentary (much like the stuff fest with Modern Warfare 2),reviews and all that "good" stuff praising it like its savior A.

I don't know about other people but when I see a thing praised like it's the best thing I tend to dislike it.

To make matters worse I don't really see what the hype is about,the HALO games are basically the same,yes the plot is kind of different,what I mean by the same are the enemies,vehicles,weapons,characters.

HALO 1 was okay and it is one of my top faves,HALO 2 came out it was kind of meh,especially the ending,but still good,I didn't like the fact that they kept things to familiar,HALO 3 came out,it was a disaster at least for me,I beat the whole game in 4 hours...I don't have Xbox live so no multy for me,so they really narrowed down the replayability.

Wanna know why the story in HALO 3 was trash?Because MS/Bungie where greedy as always (especially MS),they could have ended the game at HALO 2 but no lloyd forbid if they don't get extra money,ODST was the prime example of greediness,they made another 4 hour story mode with what I heard the maps from the DLC for HALO 3.

okay now at the "basically the same game" thing,well they do add 1 or 2 things weapons,vehicles etc) and that's all,they basically make a "new" game with some improved graphics ,2 new weapons and there,new game!

I bet that if you show someone a vid with HALO 3 gameplay side by side with Reach gameplay he won't be able to tell the difference (unless they use the jet pack and assassinations which are the "2,3" new things)

Now that Bungie said that this is the last HALO game knowing MS I have to wonder,if they make another HALO what will it be about?HALO in space?

The only thing I have to give credit for is the fact that they added space combat,they actually did something different.

Well, Call Of Duty isn't so overrated, I mean, for me, modern warfare 1 was pure epic loving win. Modern warfare 2 was pure epic overrated fail.

About the rest, I saw that you earn point in halo:are to buy armor upgrades, etc. Not sure if halo 3 had this already :s

Well I'm kind of happy that these overrated series came to an end...people will still make stuff about them,like Modern Warfare 2,I mean come on how many gameplay commentaries can you see/make about that game without going crazy?They will do the same thing with HALO until it will be forgotten in the sands of overrated stuff.

Now I have to wonder this,I noticed that the most overrated games come from the Xbox(HALO,gears of war,Crackdown)

A good game comes out for the Wii/PlayStation 3/PC,many people like it but the game doesn't get noticed.

Gears of War,Crackdown,HALO comes out?The whole world hears about it.

Another thing I noticed is this,these overrated Xbox games mainly catch on to the Americans (I'm going to get called out on this for sure),if you go in Japan for example and say something about HALO you won't get the same reaction like the Americans/some part of the Europeans since they're consoles are the Wii,PlayStation 3.

Don't get me wrong if my country had a console I would support it but if that console would have mainly overrated games/hardware problems I wouldn't buy it.

The main people that tend to over rate these games are the youngsters,a 10 year old kid starts playing HALO and he thinks of himself the king of the world,I played some HALO 3 multy on one of my friends that has Live and guess what?

6 kids started to scream on the mic about why do other players kill them,I face palmed and toled them "This is a game..." one of the replied "Oh yeah I;m going to kick you're buttocks uninformed participator!1!!",I possessed especially these little phuckers,another con on the Xbox.

Well it's not really MS's fault its mainly the lacking parent's fault who buy little Timmy a T/M rated game,why not give him happy time photos while at it?I don't know about you but I sure won't give my child a frigging adult game.

Carackdown in a nutshell:

A police man who gets super human abilities and fights zombies and terrorists,you're character has the ability to jump high,glide,increased durability and super human qualities much like Captain America.

So no cool stuff like lightning or symbiotic powers,I mean they could at least give him some kind of extra powers,like super strength (punching to create a shock wave for example)
