JPop/JRock (and no dragonball songs, since they aren't all that great. I'm talking about Kinya Kotani or this kind of stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orPlxUrphJ4)
Rock
Punk Rock
Soft Core Metal (I turn it off the moment they start growling)
Country is also great at times
and of course oldies (top of the charts 1960s to 1990s) which are the best evah.

As long as the song is good, I'd say all of them, but I'm specially a rock n' roll fan

This is okay, but has some weird transitions in it that make me not really want to listen to it.
But don't get me wrong. All of the Japanese dragonball openings are a gazillion times better than the US version. I seriously wonder what the creators of "Rock the Dragon" were smoking and what pills they took with it.

Correct. But out of curiosity. Share your collection of unsupported data on the matter.

Rock the Dragon -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxAGoc4TuGQ
Which one do YOU think is better?

I see your point...I mixed up a lot of things because back when I was little I was still living in my hometown Dominican Republic..(land of the baseball) and there the opening theme song wasn't rock the dragon...it was the normal theme but Spanish version so I see your point.....I thought Rock The DRagon was only a theme song for Budokai 1........so overall: you were definitely right

To me Rock the dragon sounds like an undecided illegitimate child kid of punk, hard rock, rap and pop.
And from my musician side it strikes my as an uninspired try at making a flashy intro.

lashy intro.
that's what its all about they had to make it seem impressive and action packed or aggressive
and they were successful in doing that
why don't you look at it in this way there are no gooey insides in da song as you dislike gooey stuff
