It's actually the other way around, if it wasn't for that 0,5% of fans who actually contributes, zeq2lite would have been long gone and Brad would have rode off into the sunset..

1: that 5% make contributions and are keeping the project alive

2: with out the other 95% the work would be of no use and for no one

but to be honest the other 95% matter more , because if there is no fan base why would the 5% work any more , first the 95% came here , got it publicity and then the other 5% came to work , also for the moddb and real deals site thing , I'm sure moddb"s creator was also a dreamer who made a site which is now one of the most success full ones and he does it for money & hits , same for toms hardware , pcguru etc , so if real deal is dreaming about creating a famous games portal , there is nothing wrong with it , I visit real deals site very often its very informative and I can download tons of Dragon Ball Z games , he does not do it for money or hits but for Dragon Ball

at the end both of your points stand , but there is no need to insult or mock the 95% because they don't know the basics of photo editing or any other skill , I don't think its obligatory to learn all that to be here

I don't know about other contributors, but I for one do this for myself. I am not doing this so everyone will play it, I'm doing this to learn about many things. When I'm rigging something, it's not for the community, its for me alone, and for my improvement. Sure, 95% get what they want, but they aren't my goal. My goal is improvement of my skills. I do this so I can learn new things, not give those 95% what they want.

Edit: Yes, if we are looking at this from one angle, you could say that the community is what matters most. If this is a game, then its fanbase should be big (at least as big as the game itself deserves it). But again, without any contributors, the game would slowly die. So you can't say that 95$ is more important, or that 5% is more important. Both of those groups are important, it's just a matter of perspective you're looking from.

ZEQ2 was a research project not zeq2lite , so you mean the 95% of the community should quit ? don't say anything with out source , as far as I remember ZEQ2 on Zios was a research project , but zeq2lite was made for release . and if it really is then why don't you guys high five 95% of the community after all its costing you the domain and forum space

Of course anyone who is being lazy will defend Realdeal so he too can keep lazy. So yes 95% is going to agree that they are important little nagging children, which is very vital to the progression of this game. You guys are forgetting all the years of development where there was almost no fanbase, because there was no download. So there were intelligent interested followers who stimulated the team. Some are still here, but sadly they are flooded by kids who as a human instinct want to feel imporant, but sadly are not.
