yeah kind of like "What if Bardock survived" remember when them fish like race were finished of by Bardock's crew but before that one of them gave Bardock a "Gift" it could be that? but it seems like He got blasted to the past. And Planet Plant wasn't called Planet Vegeta by that time.
kind of like an Alternate Universe.

I kind of don't like it either. It makes the legend, less legendary, especially the way he attains Super Saiyan. He first cries like a emo kid and then yells "FREEEEZA!!" and there we go. :/ Really lackluster

I think that's just a traditional Japanese villain laugh. I remember reading Rurouni Kenshin and that's what the editor said.


But anyway, this manga looks well done, I like the artwork. But, it's really cheesy, I saw most of this coming, also Bardock is much more badass than this, it could have been way better as far as fights, and dialogue. Saying "INSERT 'F' WORD" 1000 times won't make it any better. Plus him turning Super Saiyan was intellectually lacking; being a Super Saiyan should be much more spectacular, for lack of a better word, than that. Well what can you do? Also I think higher of Bardock when I knew he wasn't a Super Saiyan.

Of course it's cheesy, it's the manga . Did you expect 50,000 pages of dialogue and fighting ? The manga is made for getting the story/point across. If you want to see quality anime, wait for the movie.

Am I the only one who loves the way his Super Saiyan hair is drew, I mean, in the anime, it looks some bananas floating in the air, but here it looks really cool.
And yeah, Bardock deserves more than caring about a little kid and thinking stuff like "I'm lacking in identifiable function..."

But I liked this, hope there's more chapters.

The manga is drawn and written by a woman, but supervised by Toriyama. Plus the fact that she's a woman is irrelevant. I think that Bardock is being more portrayed as a hero, instead of a Saiyan badass who dislikes everything and just wants vengeance.

Vegeta never saw a Super-Saiyan (unless you count when he was with his father watching the sky), it was just how he imagined how one would be.
