This is more or less so a follow up to my Dragon Ball Evolution Frustrations thread.
This one is to give your thoughts on Dragon Ball Z Kai.
Personally I thought it was fiddle sticks. When I saw the intro I was like HOLY stuff!!! Then I saw the actual show. They didn't change trash. I dislike Gohan's new voice. Frieza sounds...Paper Salesmen. I like the dialouge actually. but I still think the show shoudl have ben drawn like the intro. It would have made the show so much better than it already was. The music was lackluster in my opinion.
What do you guys think =D.

Be more specific. Are you talking about the English version or the Japanese one.
All in all I don't see it quite as littered with gooey insides as the original and that's a plus. what's to much is to much and Dragon Ball Z had a lot of that.
But to be honest what did you expect. They never mentioned anything about redrawing it. They said they will redo the voices and they will redo the intro/outro.
And that they will be removing filers. Nothing more was promised.
So comparing the original and Kai side by side Kai is better for the fact that it has no loving filers.

Dragon Ball Z kai has to me higher HD,the matches are fun,but as in the remastered one,but they cut out some parts. But Kai is nice.Feel sad for Vegeta.Always being the last person to achieve something. And once he achieves it,Goku just surpasses him once again.
I don't know why but I like Dragon Ball Z gt more.

I don't really have an opinion on the Japanese Kai dub because I haven't experienced Z in Japanese much but I liked it none the less. Funimation on the other hand did a much better job handling dialogue, and I like some voice swaps, like Frieza, Gohan, Burter, Zarbon, and the ones that remained the same did a better job this time. I also like that Sabat wasn't the entire Frieza saga *laughing out loud*. What I somewhat miss is Bruce Faucloner's Original Soundtrack, they were appropriate for the most part, even though there's nonstop music throughout an episode.

I agree. I actually LIKE GT. I may make a follow up thread about GT. Anyway Although GT is really boring at times it IS a decent show. The only people who don't like it OVER THINK it too much.
And to Grega I really expected them to do a better job in terms of animation. They really could have made it somethign special had they drawn it like the Episode of Bardock or the redrawn scenes from Ultimate Tenkaichi.
I personally didn't mind the gooey insides some of them actually enhanced the Dragon Ball Z experience for me. Matter of fact some of my most memorable Dragon Ball Z experiences came from gooey insides as a child.
ALSO for those who say Kai has NO gooey insides Episode one had a gooey insides in it.

gooey insides, in my opinion, helped to tie in a few loose ends like Goku's relationship with Chi-Chi. In one instance, Chi-Chi forced Goku to take a driving class, attempting to instill some form of normal behavior in the childish man. He knew nothing about manners, save for thanking others for food. *intense laughter*
Also, in that same scene, Piccolo and Goku showed their typical male competitiveness when they were trying to race each other, and even revealed some of their fighting abilities and strength to common folk, showing that their abilities are accepted in their world.
In this scene, overall, Piccolo and Goku demonstrated the Z Warriors' human tendencies, so that the viewers, as well as the common earthling characters, could relate to them more easily.

I agree with Link. In Kai it more or less so seemed that they were simply aliens that cam to protect earth. it also made it seem somewhat like none of them had ties with the world save for Goku.
Also...was anyone else ticked that they STOPPED at the Cell Saga? Even dumber Nicktoons decided to air GT and the movies WITHOUT even explaining the concept of a Super Saiyan 3.
They also did to mention Videl, Goten, and many other things including Buu. Uub was a pivotal character important to the Dragon Ball universe and Kai completely ignored this.

Well for me personally I was totally "get this stuff over with" when I watched the original gooey insides.
Gohans training with Piccolo for instance. The robot episode for instance drove me up the wall.
The mentioned driving episode was for me totally frustrating. It was an extra episode before the cell games and the impatience was practically killing me.

Er...the driving episode...was before the Android Saga... But some people split it into 2:
Android saga as in the saga before cell arrives
Cell saga as in the saga after cell is born.
However the gooey insides do tie some thigns in. Story wise it explains some things that happened in the middle of all the stuff.
I mean come on. The first episode of Dragon Ball Z was a gooey insides. Woudl it really make sense if Goku just suddenly lande don Roshi's island with out any explanation as to why he was there with his son?
That first gooey insides served as an explanation as to why he was going there in the first place.
It also gave us a good introductory vie of Gohan.

my question is why do people dislike GT, I mean its short but its awesome, Goku turns small, Vegeta grows a moustache, Goten turns big, and gohans is a nerd, it has way more changes and the fact that Vegeta wanted to fuse made me go wow, I remember the entire Dragon Ball Z seris along with the Gt seris by heart, DragonBall I never even watched cause it just looks kind of funny no offense,
so really why do people dislike gt?

Basically because Goku turns small, Vegeta grows a moustache, Goten turns big, and Gohan is a nerd.
Not to mention all the continuity errors they made.

I like Dragon Ball, unlike in Dragon Ball Z, it does not show always fight after fight, it turns boring to see only fighting. So in my opinion Dragon Ball is the best, then goes Z and then GT. Even though GT had this less fighting it made a lot of errors. It was like the ones who created GT didn't even watched Dragon Ball Z.
I think having more humor is much better. So Dragon Ball Z goes down.

Honestly I think that Dragon Ball Z can be really boring at some points. Why? Cause it seems as if they do waaaaaay more talking that actual fighting.

Then again I don't really like what happened in Dragon Ball Z after the Frieza saga. It was the perfect ending to a story, and it got screwed up to the point of "Hey I'm going to leave my wife and both my sons for a couple of years to train this Kid who might just be the ultimate evil reincarnated" >.>

No man if Dragon Ball Z ended at the frieza saga do you know how many people would be tinkled? I know I would. I'm glad they continued it.

But Bleach is doing exactly the same thing as Dragon Ball Z did.
