Assassin's Creed 1 was boring.

In my opinion you're missing one of the best games of this generation, Assassin's Creed 2.

Revelations is still pretty good if you ask me (loved every single design and the Original Soundtrack, the story is pretty nice too), but Brotherhood is kind of bad :/

Can't wait to see new stuff about Assassin's Creed 3.

Are you kidding ESFER25?! Assassin's Creed was a really good game that, although most is fictional, provides so much insight into the conflict in the Middle East back in the Crusades (in this instance, practitioners of spiritual science vs. Muslims).

Besides the historical context, the game was rather fun, I.e. climbing buildings, running from at most 50 soldiers, even the storyline, both inside the Animus and outside, was very interesting, what with the different viewpoints among confused Altair, secretive Al Mualim, all the leaders that were converted from Islamic to Christianity, and the fabled King Richard (in-game known as Richard the Lionheart).

Now, I know the story is incomplete by the end of the first Assassin's Creed, but you cannot deny it was very well made and developed. I personally love to use my hidden knife to attack from any direction. :3

That and Altair's story gets interesting when you're about to kill Robert de Sable in my opinion. Till then it was just "Climb that tower, talk to A and kick B's buttocks so you can kill C" over and over again.

EDIT: The context and the ambience were nice, so were the Renaissance in Italy, Constantinople and now, the American Revolutionary War.

What was bad about the AI? I agree there was hardly any variety in voice, character models, and only small variations in the "talk to A, kick B's arse, then kill C" scenarios, but they had to help you know your way around somehow.

Each city is pretty big, and some people read the compass (or minimap) better than the city maps overall, and vice versa.

Objectives only inform you of your destination; they don't tell you how to get there. That's what you learn as you complete all of those side missions.

That, and people can't always tell one building or alley from another.

Familiarity breeds success.

Assassins's Creed one is in no means better than it's sequel.
-The combat is repetetive and not truly the best
-Almost no variety in enemies(almost)
-REPETETIVE missions
-Not really much of a plot troughout most of the game
-The game is really easy
-Riding horses fast is a crime because apparently there were speed regulations in medieval times.
Don't get me wrong, I like both first one and the second. I just find ACII as simply better fun.
