That's how much new phones cost these days. That's if you want to get a good one. Who is your service provider?

Years have passed by and in my opinion SE phones are still the better ones. You just can't kill one and they are always good in terms of battery and general specifications.
Nokia doesn'are cut it, samsung gives problems sooner or later, htc fails here and there and de good BB's fail in price/performance.
Have a look at Sony Ericsson Xperia ray. That's probably what you are searching for. It's a good price.
For a bit more you can get the Sony Xperia S. It's a beast. Simply great in all aspects.
If the Sony Xperia S it's to much and the ray have a small screen for you look at Sony Ericsson Xperia arc because it's very good to.

You guys just keep on purchasing the new phones... I'll stick with my Nokia Surge, it's got everything I'll ever use in a phone.
Phones these days have so many apps that none of you would care to use or have the memory for all of them. :\
Jeez, If you want to call someone, get a cell phone, if you want to use an unnecessary touch-screen tablet that can hardly fit in your pocket, be my guest. I'm sure plenty of you always have somewhere to go... and need to spend your wasted time on these devices.
If you want to enjoy yourself, those are good for it, but honestly, you are feeding the beast far too much to be contained any longer.

I own a Galaxy S3 right now, on contract. £25 per month.
I'm guessing Link never used a touch screen.

Well, I never possessed one, but I've used both a tablet and a touch-screen smart-phone.
From my experience, it's not at all bad. It's just unnecessary in many cases.

Agreed. Having these new "ultra high-tech" touchscreen phones is NOT necessary. Phones are made for CALLING people, not something else. True, internet on the phones is quite handy sometimes, but that's it. I don't see any more things that a PHONE needs.

Indeed. But people are "tech savy" nowadays so now in Oklahoma (you.S. State where I live), You CANNOT see a basic phone anymore, everyone has an iPhone or whatever.
But Nimish, forget Apple, iPhone has a lot of Limitations, Go with a Galaxy Nexus, or a Galaxy SIII, iPhone is crying to those phones right now

I agree, I have possessed a smartphone and I have found most of the apps quite unecessary, for example, "Google Goggles", is an app where you take a picture of something and it searches the picture to match it. Its cool but for your everyday needs, its junk
