There are 2 amateur film makers setting out to create a short live action trailer of the Saiyan saga.

I think some of the characters look very good so far. The entire production is sponsored by donations by devoted Dragon Ball Z fans. A pretty inspiring project if you ask me.

Well, this is interesting, that's for sure. I've personally never thought Dragon Ball Z could translate well into a live-action setting, but I mean, it's the Saiyan Saga so mandatory excited mode engaged.

Yeah, I agree with you there. At any rate, it's always cool to see just how much people love/are inspired by Dragon Ball Z. So yeah, there's always a chance

I think it's just an "old news" post for the sake of it. There won't be a single person crying "old news" that can take away from those who were recently made aware Let's just enjoy it and not care

And if it wasn't that, then I apologize! If it IS because evolution was done, well, then let the discussion on how just the screens we've seen from this already trump the screens I saw from Evolution(I took Mima's advice among others and did not watch it).

Well, I shouldn't have said that these screens trump it. I am much more pleased by what I see here. That's what I should've said.

Dragon Ball Evolution probably succeeded in its goal, which was clearly not to faithfully recreate the story in a live action setting, but more likely simply to alter a fairly lengthy series into a feature-length adaptation, capitalizing on past success. I do not know or wish to know how well it did in the box office, nor how many units it sold on DVD or Blu-Ray, but again, it probably met a higher mark than I feel was warranted by such dilution from the original. Many people like re-tellings or adaptations, and I do too, with certain titles or media.

Now, with that out of the way, it already looks like these guys are more interested in showing a truer translation from the original to live-action. I realize it's only a trailer, so story will be likely chopped and shortened in order to adapt to a trailer's length, but the spirit of what the series represents seems like it will be more faithfully shown.

We all aren't quite as lucky I've had to sit through a couple of minutes... Just to make sure I could be free of all bias. That, AND my brother kept changing to it for laughs.

Well, it IS actually terrible... This new trailer looks better though. It won't be perfect, but at least the cast actually has "martial artists" in it.

Well I usually have no problem with adaptations either. But the movie was just plain bad. So simple as that. If it was an entertaining, exciting I wouldn't have had any problem with changes to the story.

Much like that live action avatar movie. Don't want to go see that one either.

Yeah, don't feel rushed to see avatar. It was, meh...

It wasn't TERRIBLE, though. It had some elements that were watchable in my opinion.

for Tenshinhan..where are the muscles he should have? (should train more the actor for give more definition and must have better abdominals) the face is not bad but not good the body and the outfit so far..

for krillin they must try some effects for delete the nose(a good prosthesis for synthesizing perhaps and glue on the face ..) chiaotzu same thing but easier..because they will paint the face..

I'm sorry if I seem perhaps little intriguingly diversified .. but he really don't have the features of a black man,Piccolo
