The foetus pose is because of the animations. It's the first one in the list. If you're using the max file you can just move the animation slider below to get to a desirable pose.

I like the texture work so far.
Could you also post the ref you're using? If you don't have enough you could also ask Mima to look for some for you. I already mentioned, Bardock saga, frieza saga episodes (even from when Goku escaped in frieza's spaceship) could all come in handy.
Also some on model pictures of the texture would be good in the future.
Good luck continuing!

Aah now I see what that purple thing is. Judging from the second ref, you should try to get that shadow in there too. And for that shine effect you can take some inspiration from our scouter or frieza head textures!
Weird thing though I can see some parts of the wireframe here and there still on the texture. Isn't it on a separate layer like in my tutorials?
Another thing try to avoid those "end of the line bubbles" when you stop a stroke on low opacity. Either try to work them away afterward or try to avoid getting them in the first place.
Also those orange keys on the keyboard aren't very separated yet. You gotta create more depth with bigger black lines and more shadow. Also go ahead and exaggerate those white highlights a lot more. They are super thin now.
Especially when you consider the resolution you are working on now. You're not going to be able to have textures this big. Try to work to 512x512. So zooming is the only way, some of it can be pixel work. But then you will learn to appreciate your UVW space.
Hey but the details are there when I look closely. You just have to bring them out more!.

Yeah going to try to do that.

Yeah I made it on separate layers like in youur tut .don't know what is that

Yeah you are right(dislike those bubbles).

Yeah they still doesn't look to separated still when I finish colouring I will add some shadows, and bigger highlights.

Hmmm I see,thanks.

Working on the landscape, its so huge its intimidating me! I'm still undecided on what to put on the surface since there are no major references of the Kanassan environment.
I'm considering making the surface more mountainous, though I'm unsure of how high the height map ought to be. (Kanassa seems to be pretty flat)
There's going to be an underground cave system which has topology similar to desert but with stalactites and stalagmites.
@Epic - Also I watched the Bardock movie, in any case I've put some from frieza's ship there's no shots showing consoles, we'll just have to mix and match colors I think.

NikhilR, there's really no need to watermark your pictures with a logo.
It's silly and pretentious.

That emblem is getting to me as well and I will keep it aside henceforth.
Postscript
I seemed to have got into the habit of putting up the emblem, sort of like a signature. Never meant it to be a watermark though.

You can add it when you make a big final render to show that you're the creator, but yeah adding it to each wip picture seems quite bothersome.

Small update, exterior landscape terrain.
The thickness of the terrain is to accommodate an interconnected cave system (gap) with tunnels in the upper level leading from the surface to the cave system.
Between the landmasses is a gorge, to be filled with either water or lava.
