well mima my opinion is.. awesome work with the skills..
all they need is new body fully separated for the shades and new animations..

Vegeta Namek
Vegeta frieza are both done by anty..

he should try something with these when he have time.. because he have these two very accurate..

howewer for now I will try something for my gamepack for my self.. not for all of us..

I got only one little problem when I use final crash, he slow me the game just in the charging..

for now I have on it this sound, SUPER SPECIAL ATTACK..

he should have crusher ball or fire ball..

Edit: This is the charge for Crusher Ball. I can take out that sound of the crusher ball, but then it really sounds bad.

Sorry for another extended absence. If you guys don't have the sounds you're looking for yet, stop in the IRC tomorrow sometime. I'll be in and out. I should be able to help with the Ginyu force as a whole, as well as the Saibaman.

Okay, I'm uploading this, as well. I know I said I was going to fix it up more, but some things have come up and I want to stick to my promises as much as possible.

Nello, AnTy, and the rest, I'm going to leave this one in your capable hands. I can already tell you some of what needs changing:

Balance - But the game isn't balanced right now, but seriously, if that sword slash wasn't an insta-kill, it would just rule. Just combat it with an insta-kill Kamehameha Razz

The attacks aren't separated according to Saga/Appearance - It's one big attackset. I'm sure you can break them up into smaller ones if you want to. Frieza Fight, Androids, and Cell would probably be the best way to go there, but you guys know what you're doing.

Animations - I am awful at this, so some proper Masenko, Heat Dome, Buster Cannon/Super Buster Cannon animations are in order.

For the movie version of Trunks, a bluish hue for the generic attacks would be more accurate.

Now, make me proud, and fix up a neato Cell Saga Trunks, complete with Ultra Super Saiyan that isn't just a slightly rescaled VegetaCell! Or heck, give the SVN Trunks a whirl! You've all become so darn capable, so I am certain you'll just take this and fly to heights I could not Smile

by the way, as I stated earlier, if you and AnTy will come to the IRC, I'll get you what you need in the sounds department for the Ginyu Force and Saibamen Smile

Also, if it passes inspection, feel free to add that Masenko to Piccolo and Gohan on the SVN.

Anyway, now you guys have some particle examples to work with besides the ones that were already in the SVN, so if I can help, just hit me up in the IRC.

There is a lot of back-biting here, especially as of late, and it's central to ZEQ2-Lite. Why not go deeper down the rabbit hole?

ZEQ2-Lite is not the end game. You're all basically arguing over a tutorial. You're playing Super Mario, and stuck on world 1-1. Sure, you're making it to the flagpole like a boss, but you never hit the pipe and try world 1-2.

So, I'd like to take some time to show something that, while not altogether impressive, might persuade some of you to start looking into Unity.

Now, most of this stuff was done within a relatively short time-span. I had next to no time(which sounds laughable considering how much less I've had lately) to work with it, but I still got some results. I'm just warning you that I know it isn't perfect by and standard, and it's quite an eyesore.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgK6ZoTRZHM <-- That "snakey" behavior is possible in ZEQ2-Lite, but it's a pain to pull off. It was almost too easy with Unity. And that's not all. That limit to particles in ZEQ2-Lite affects both player AND map generated particles. Therefore, the more map particles, the fewer attack particles you can have.

LOADS of more environmental effects would become more readily available, bringing our maps to life!

Now, in this next one, DON'T pay attention to the coloring, as it was a texture baking problem that Arnold helped me solve, I just didn't record another video of it after that.

And what you can't see in this clip that you could if I'd adjusted the color just a tad, is that the orb really does pulsate a bit and look more "alive" or fluid, like you'd expect energy to be. I didn't really have to do anything there, either.

Now, more advanced behavior is needed for those rays, and I didn't really take it any further than that, due to some pretty unfortunate events, but I'm hoping to be able to work more on this stuff now, at least in some capacity.

Anyway, this is hardly what I would call a "sneak peek" as there isn't much to show. But ZEQ2 IS the prize here. Lively maps? Sure. Actual bots? Shouldn't be too tough, even making exceptions for the wildlife (bird things on the landing map, for example). More flexible attack system? As flexible as we choose to make it.

The move to the Unity engine would be more beneficial to EVERYONE, you addon makers included!

I'm going to quote something that Brad said, because I feel like it needs to sink in for more than a couple of us:

This is a challenge to me, as well. I'm not talking AT anyone, I'm talking TO everyone, myself included!

It'd be super sweet to see more addon makers step up and want to get their hands on Unity. Just dive in, play with settings, and start learning. It doesn't have to happen overnight! Just as you didn't learn all your great ZEQ2-Lite modding skills in a day, no one's expecting that for ZEQ2!

But in every way, ZEQ2 is the "Holy Grail" I have my eye on as the ultimate Dragon Ball Z experience. The picture I have in my mind's eye (largely attributed to RiO and MDave, I suppose) leads me to believe that there won't ever be a bigger Dragon Ball Z fan undertaking, and that it'll be nothing short of jaw-dropping. It'll be like the first time I booted up ZEQ2-Lite, only on enough juice to drain a large city!

All I ask is your consideration in these things, and again, check your attitudes at the door Smile

I have been wondering how the progress on unity was going. Never actually saw any footage of it. I bet it's still in it's early stages but the new possibilities excite me. Then again it's not going to get much further gameplay wise if people don't start animating.

About the smoke, one thing is that it needs to expand in diameter while it rises and also slowly diffuse/fade out. Now it just looks like a snake.

Good luck Skatter, I'm wondering right now what we could do with the aura and if a final flash with anime replica effects could be possible.. You know I got the animations.. Razz

Gameplay wise yes... It won't get better without animators.
We really need every possible animator to help...

We can have NPC's here...
We can have deform able land and amazing water!
We just need to work on the gameplay first!

I am a villain... Just Saiyan.
To me I see myself either being Cell Going from town to town taking NPC's lives and going throwing people threw buildings.
Or as Vegeta Destroying towns with my pet Nappa and his saibamen. Killing a saibamen at each town. Very Happy
All this is POSSIBLE we just need your help with the animations!

This is where my presence on the forums as of late is coming from. It's true that I'm VERY much out of the loop on ZEQ2/Unity right now, but I'm going to find my way back into things. But more people willing to step up are needed, as you said.

Yeah, it's pretty gross right now. I was actually starting to look into alternate approaches to make it all blend together better and give off more exaggerated patterning before I had to take my "break" from things. I'll for sure keep all that in mind though Very Happy

I can tell you that just from what I've goofed around with, SO MUCH is possible. It would require someone who is better at texturing than me, and I'd need to learn more about chaining effects together, but the possibilities are exponentially higher with Unity.

Weather effects like lightning, debris blowing in the wind, dust storms, and as far as attacks go, I can't see any reason that we couldn't faithfully recreate everything. It's just that "We" needs to mean "We(the community)" not We(about 4-6 people at any given point, maybe less. And Arnold counts as 2 people.)

The particle effects are just the tip of the iceberg, I think, though. I foresee some amazing things with AI, maps, and of course the fighting Smile
