Technically, with the mass-volume of copyrighted material that finds its way onto sites such as youtube, Dragonball Z included, despite the self-policing of the site administrators, it's a distinct possibility they'll get shut down too if this kind of overbearing prosecution continues.

Technically, with this ACTA thing looming now, everything big name corporations don't like or feel makes them "lose money"(which is a very subjective term) is up for grabs now. It's just a matter of time until the internet as a whole is no longer the safe-haven we all know it should be, but will become a virtual warzone(pun not intended...) between the users standing up for their rights and the governments that are attempting to trample over them.

The worst part of this whole thing, is that I have yet to see anything on the news about any of these measures, which means that too large of a population of the people it will affect don't even know about the dangers these measures will impose...

I hope that this doesn't go the way that it might, but as a wise man once said; "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst". This is just the beginning.

This is the attitude that SOPA is trying to prevent.

We all know pirating software is illegal, but some people exclaim their pro-plundering booty stance in such a way as to suggest that you do so for any kind of software.

You should not make a habit of this. It only strengthens SOPA's hold in politics. I'd only use plundering booty to obtain what are otherwise unattainable products.

Doubt it. Let's face it, PC is also popular because pirating stuff is so easy, if you can't pirate anymore a lot of people will leave PC gaming and simply play on consoles, so companies wouldn't be interested in PCs anymore.

Could be a reason, though PC gaming isn't that popular due to the hardware you need to play games nowadays.

Provided you don't want to play online, you can pirate XboX360 games and Wii games just as easy as PC games. The only console with a hard pirating concept is the PlayStation 3, because they use Blue-Ray instead of DVD. But once BR technology becomes common that'll be easy to.
