It would be better as a surprise, it was meant to be a surprise, Domitjen unfortunetly spoiled it
Things go like that , we can't help it, I believe it might be a little improved version of the first beta, nothing more and less...
I hope there will be a new feature not shown in the actual video. That would be something surprising I can't wait to see if there is a new mêlée system
I can't wait to see if the server browser actually works(because young rascals wouldn't ask for server )

If I'm waiting for something I really want, I would rather see a trailer announcing when it'll come so I know when to expect it and look for it , then being in the dark all time until sometime it pops up, then there is the possibility as well you don't even know about it :p
and hey, I'm not forcing anyone to watch:p I just love epic trailers thus I tried to make an epic one for this

it's not pressure...if it was then they have been doing good since we have pressured them for like 4 months....anyway all we want is to know how well they're doing, how far they've gotten..were not demanding for ZEQ2 Revision we just want a small update.... even if it's just a sentence that says "the project going well" bcuz at some point me and a lot of people thought that this was dead!!

Why do you think I made this ? Because I care about the forum members and try to keep them up to date as much as possible.

Hi there guys, this is my first post with an account created long time ago.
Just wanted to say that I hope it comes with a linux binary, the wait for a linux revision and having to play a game that is based on a multi-os engine like ioquake on wine tinkle a bit off...
Don't missunderstand me , I desire you the best, just like there is not much Linux support on the forums (neither Linux user I have to say too *intense laughter*) and sometimes when Wine get's strange errors there is no way easily find what's going on.
So, since now, I haven't played ZEQ2-Lite for a long time (since the last time I saw my Windows partition, long long time ago, on other computer of course *intense laughter*) and I really want test how it works on linux.
Finally, I would suggest to create a Linux Troubleshooting if there is any native release for it even if not, so people could have a place to post their errors using wine (in the case that there is not going to be a native, which I hope isn't going to happen)
So, good luck, thanks for the info and I hope this could help you all in any way, See you all

ZEQ2-Lite's development build already has a working Linux build, which is being compiled and probably packaged in the future in Ubuntu as .deb files.
Everything should work as well as under Windows, even better, totally depends on your graphics card and the driver you're using - in this case proprietary ones are mostly required, however, you'll get a fair performance using open source drivers, like Nouveau with Gallium3D.
As for the Wine build, be sure to install the necessary runtime packages and in order: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package 2005, 2005SP1, 2008 and 2008SP1.
And Linux based troubleshooting or Q&A thread will be created once the Linux builds have been released to the public along with the upcoming release. Everything Linux-wise will go there.

Thanks for your fast response, I really appreciate it.
About the redistributables, well the error didn't look like it was related to any .dll or exe issues, but trying to create a folder in an strange place which I just don't remember (sorry ).
Others proyects based on the quake3 engine, like Urban Terror, Smokin' Guns and Open Arena did work fine (using the windows binaries of course, saying it would be pointless otherwise *intense laughter*) but I don't know how your engine works so maybe this info is irrelevant.
At last, I want to point out that I'm an amateur Linux user (not new, but I still miss some of the basic console commands, like ls, and I use dir instead almost times *intense laughter*) and I must say, that when you get used to it, you start wanting less and less using windows, as you don't have to worry about discomforting spyware, virus, trojans, etc... The safety about what Apple is very proud of, but free and works on any PC, touché .
See you all, and sorry for this off-topic, hope you guys don't get mad about it, but I didn't want to revive a topic that died almost eons ago (The only one that talks about ZEQ2 on linux entiretly)
Regards, XenonFORT.
