Elvis is rock n roll.

Also with metal most of us associate the metalheads that wear dark clothing with skulls on and worhsip satan and sing about blood and death. I have respect for the originators of it like Metallica, but that's totally not what it is anymore today. With all the subgenres I wouldn't even call it rock anymore. Because I love rock.

You say heavy metal, but you describe death metal, black metal or even black death metal.

An example bands of heavy metal would be AC/DC and Led Zeppelin as the pioneers of the genre and Slipknot is a good example of todays heavy metal.

And as you can see you can understand him almost perfectly. Now heavy metal ain't really my thing, but I know enough that you are not talking about it.

There is also power metal which is a mixture of heavy metal and speed metal and its also quite easy to understand the singing. Examples of that would be Hamerfall and Manowar

I don't know bout you.....but I much rather listen to black & yellow than a song that I've listened to a million times......plus it really doesn't matter if its classic it matters if you like it because a song culd be the most classic song ever but if you don't like it than it doesn't mean its better then a song that you do like

I like lots of songs that are not classic. But calssics win from the respect factor. Classics are what defined music and what made music what it is and that's the soul reason why it simply wins no matter what.

In any case I'm prepared to get smacked for this statement so shoot your insults after I say it.

Hip hop doesn't make sense as a musical genre. it's not music. Its a lot closer to poetry than music. Its all about the lyrics that are usually said and not sung to a beat that doesn't really change much. There is very little actual musical interpretation within hip hop.

So I myself would class it as modern poetry instead of a musical genre.

Now feel free to bash away.
