Alright, got the hair materials separated for Super Saiyan 2, just need to adjust the skin and shader files to assign separate shaders to it, which I'll do tomorrow.
Also, noticed that there were absolutely zero animations for the Super Saiyan head models, so deleted the Super Saiyan faces(1 and 2), and replaced them with an animated copy of Goku's normal face, then edited the texture to match the model swap, so Goku's face is now animated for at least normal through Super Saiyan 2. Goku's Super Saiyan 3 face will need to be animated from scratch however... I'll commit it to the SVN tomorrow once I'm done with the shaders, but for now I need sleep...
Also, I'm planing to animate the hair soon as well, since it bugs me that no one else ever got to it, which leads to it feeling too stiff and unfinished in-game...

Wait a minute, Super Saiyan with normal's face won't look right. The eyes need to be squinted to have that Super Saiyan look. I think you need to animate the face from scratch if you want it animated.

Define model split. If you mean what I think you do, it shouldn't be that difficult to do. Tell me what you need, and I'll get it done.
You need to be able to rig Goku into skin, now he's rigged with physique. Then the faces of all Super Saiyan forms should be split from the hair into submeshes so I can add a different shader to the face. (right now the faces also have the hair's shadows, which are yellow hued)
I'm confused... I just opened Goku's 3ds file, and he's already rigged using the skin modifier... And I have an old backup file from the SVN, and he's also rigged with the skin modifier, so he has been for some time it seems...
And did you need just the hair split off, or did you want the eyebrows split off as well, so they can get the same shader as the hair?(Super Saiyan 1 already has the hair split off it seems, as does 3, the only one that isn't is 2...)
Joel converted them from psychique to skin but there were unexpected deformations such as the shoulders ( try doing a Spirit Bomb, you will see what I mean). that's why they need to be rerigged first according to what I've heard.

Actually, I believe I can just alter the morph parrents and reload them on the main model to get the correct look, if it really makes that big of a difference, and I have an idea on how to do just that easily.

Wow that really does look on point, are you going to do the same for Vegeta? The Blue should be darker, should be a light blue in his armor instead of gray, and his skin should be pinker... you catch my drift(yeah I still say that)

Odd question, but why do they need to be rerigged just to separate the body parts? Can't we just make copies of the model, add an Edit Poly modifier on the top of the stack, then delete the parts that aren't needed for the different body parts?(I.e. if it's the arms we want, delete all the parts but the arms from the copied model, exc.)
I've done something similar before with no ill effects that I could see... Or is there some other reason?

Should I upload these colors and celshade bands so you can get the faces fixed. I think it can be done independently.

I think the Super Saiyan (Left Side) is only First Super Saiyan wise.
I mean, the glow that Goku had in his body when he transformed was.... undescribable:
But if your transforming beyond Super Saiyan, then forget this post.

Done. Just check the SVN log or the updated shader file for the location of the celbands.

Those suggestions would fall under changing the aura system, not the cel band shading, which is what this thread's topic is about... Changing the aura to something like that picture would likely involve changing/adding code to make it work.
