I myself have always preferred old games. Stronghold, Rome Total War, Warcraft 3 (Not WoW), Grand Theft Auto 3/Vice City, Freelancer (Especially Freelancer)... I have a great PC, I ran crysis 2 on high, I played fish and BBC, even though they are good games, they can't compare to those I mentioned above.

And there in lies the entire issue I see in this thread. Everyone else is discussing their opinions about a game they like/don't like for what ever reason, and you are too caught up in baseless "facts" that no one else cares about...

Some people, likely everyone else in this thread but you, prefer game-play over graphics. These are two distinctly separate things. Just because they prefer an older less graphically pleasing game, doesn't mean it's because of computer limitations or graphical capabilities. When it comes down to it, graphics don't make the game, the game makes the game. And by extension, graphics don't equal fun, enjoyable game-play makes it fun.

And when it comes to personal opinion, "facts" don't freaking' matter one bit, and that's the only "fact" that matters in this "discussion"...

In other words, get off your high horse, and quit riding it backwards while you ignore or belittle everyone's opinions but your own.

And for the record, Pong was a "real game" and its graphics, while terrible by today's standards, didn't matter one spit, then or now, when measured up to how successful and enjoyable it was. Graphics don't mean anything. You can put all the pretty colors, special effects, physics, and flashy glittery extras you want on a pile of horse dung, but at the end of the day you're still stuck with just a pretty, flashy, super realistic pile of horse dung...

There was a team that ported The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind to the Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion engine. They called it Morroblivion and used assets from Morrowind in the Oblivion engine.
The result, Bethesda sued itself!

let me explain,
Morrowind had one publisher
Oblivion didn't have the same publisher

Even though Bethesda owns both games, it doesn't own all the publishers, so the publishers sued Beth and Beth threatened to sue the creators of Morroblivion and Morroblivion was released!

Is this a port of San Andreas to Grand Theft Auto 4? or a mod of Grand Theft Auto 4 using Grand Theft Auto 4 assets to make San Andreas?

For some people, that's all the time it takes to make up their mind about something. If they don't like it, they don't like it. You don't need to shove your praise for the game down their throats and try to force them to like it. Life doesn't work that way.

It's like chocolate. Some people like it, some people don't, and some people are actually allergic to it. You can't change them, that's just the way they were made.

Cs is one of the best shooters ever, and I have played a looooooot of shooters...

Tried it. Overhyped, it's not any better than cs in my opinion. Crysis 1 was much better. At least it wasn't so console-ish.

Great game, I have it, and love it. But gets boring sometimes, unlike cs.

I have Modern Warfare 2, my cousin has fish 2 , a friend has black ops, another friend has cod1, etc... I have played all of them except fish 3. Don't even compare them to cs, only fish 4 and 2 could be compared because they were the only good cods.

Uhhhh, no? People play cs because it's fun, not because it looks great. Seriously, for you games work like this:
"This has bad graphics so only people with cheap pcs play it"

CS and CSS (sometimes cs is the 2nd, and sometimes it's css) are the most played games after TF2 (since its free now), and if you check steam stats, these are the most used video cards:

Most of those can run crysis at high/very high settings, so no, they don't have "low end" PCs yet CS is still one of the most played games.

didn't knew my post that its releases

releases also such a war

of course san andreas is better then Grand Theft Auto 4 in my opinion I don't care about the grafiks its just the fun which is most important in every game

also Grand Theft Auto san andreas online server are over 8mil players playing on any server

and when I play Grand Theft Auto 4 online I find only a few servers with only 4 players on team deathmatch...

I tried almost ALL new games. I didn't say they were really REALLY bad.. But they still don't compare to those BETTER OLD ones. For example... Warcraft 3 was released in 2002, and it's still one of the most enjoyable strategy based games ever. Even now, in 2011, a new OFFICIAL version came out. There are many players, many servers, maps, custom-made media, etc.. I played Crysis 2, GTAIV, BBC and fish.. They were okay, they weren't terrible. But I could never replace something like warcraft with them. For example, TF2 was unknown to me until it became free.. Now I tend to play it daily. It's really one of the BEST shooter by far. Better then fish, BBS, etc.. And this is my PERSONAL OPINION. There aren't facts about which game is better. There are facts which game is more advanced in graphics, animations, etc.. But that DOESN'T MAKE THE GAME BETTER OVERALL.
