Like I said, it's really a huge difference, so it should be used properly.

yup this is a very good idea, just like how word filter screws our posts it would be a good thing if the filter did something good in life
if people type ZEQ or ZEQ2 it could be filtered as unreleased version

Word filter doesn't recognize hyphens (-), so if anyone was to write ZEQ2-Lite, it would filter it to "unreleased version-Lite"

Wait, what? ZEQ was released.

No, they'd get even more confused since ZEQ2-lite IS released also.

why make such a fuss? ZEQ2 is dead(or postponed according to some) so referring this game by the name ZEQ2 shouldn't really bother anyone.
Remember, even though incorrect, referring to a cigar as cigarette isn't really something that requires hearing in courts or so...

Correction, I said ZEQ2 was never released. That's what I'm talking about here, there is a difference between ZEQ, ZEQ2, and ZEQ2-Lite

Maybe you should try speaking their language. Post a picture of a facepalm and the entire community will understand you.

Actually they are. They are both Dragon Ball Z based pc games(though seen as projects by their developers) where one is a descendant of an early version of the other.
Personally, I would recommend not to give so much importance to name used to refer this game as long as the message by the referrer is understood, as intended, by the people.

Okay, one question though. What if some great developers complete ZEQ2, and let it roam public. And then it comes here, on this forum. What would happen when you browse the threads and see ZEQ2 everywhere. And then, after 2 years, more people come, who have no idea what happened before, and see ZEQ2 everywhere. They will think we were all talking about ZEQ2, not ZEQ2-lite.

*laughing out loud* what the heck is going on here? the first post is about maps and then some other discussion gets in, changes the name of the thread etc...??? Mima, there are facts. The facts are that practically everyone says ZEQ2 instead of ZEQ2-Lite cause they are lazy to spell it all but we still know the story, we mean the same game, the same features, the same creators. It's like saying "PSP" instead of "PlayStation Portable" but does it make a difference? these 2 games are with same creators the same pack, it just went dead and then you revived it as ZEQ2-Lite. It's the same game really, no need to discuss these things.

Elektronas you are VERY wrong. You don't know what you are saying, that's the thing. I agree that everyone is lazy, but everything else you said is just play wrong.
1) It's NOT the same game.
2) Same people didn't create ZEQ2-Lite and ZEQ2 (except Brad and MDave).
3) It's not like saying PSP instead of PlayStation Portable, it's like saying PlayStation 3 instead of PlayStation portable, which doesn't make any sense.
4) They don't have the same pack? (Not sure what you meant by that.)
5) ZEQ2-Lite is not ZEQ2 revived. Read my first/second post in this topic.
*note* I split the threads so there are 2. 1 for this, and another one for that map.

- Different Internal Structure
- Different Public Relationship
- Different Character Models
- Different Environments
- Different Programming Languages
- Different Design Methods
- Different Engines
- Different Technologies

- Different Timeframe
- Different Website
- Different Projects Altogether
ZEQ2 is not ZEQ2-lite. ZEQ2-lite is not just a rebirth/continuation of ZEQ2. ZEQ2 is a separate project that's on hold, but still possible to continue in the future. It focuses on the advancement and study of fields of NPR technologies at a glance; however, it's overall goal was about representing 2D hand-drawn universes in a 3D manner with full respects to accuracy on more than just a visual level.
You didn't just say PSP when you meant PlayStation Portable. You said Super Mario Bros. (a game) when you meant View-dependent Particles for Internactive Non-Photorealistic Rendering (a research project -- a great example, at that).

Or like going into a movie theater and ordering some popcorn, and the guy gives you creamed-corn instead.
Or walking into a Walmart to buy a Nintendo Wii, and the guy in the game section hands you a Nintendo Virtual Boy instead.
Or asking a guy at a Bestbuy if they have any Dragonball Z DVDs, and he points you to the Mobile Suit Gundam DVDs. They're both Anime, so they're the same thing, right?
Point is, just because 2 things are similar or have similar names, doesn't mean they are anything alike.

Nobody knows about ZEQ2 and Zios, so nobody cares.
The question is, should they?

Most do, but should know the history of this game
Plus Zios is the engine.

don't know... Well if I'm wrong I'm wrong, I didn't knew very much about the old ZEQ2 so I said what I think it's right. Cause about reviving I'm not quite sure now, I just think cause it looks almost exactly the same as Public Beta 1... But the fact is that people are too lazy or ill-advised to make the difference (I'm sure not everyone are like that). But well there is no point to discuss this, they would still say ZEQ2 instead of ZEQ2 Lite
