But why would you buy this if it's Serious Sam with cool graphics? Seriously, I think this game is mediocrity at its best.

I didn't buy it for graphics
edit-from da first day I started gaming I remember the first game was dangerous Dave, that game thought me that it's the gameplay that matters
and from that day gfx never mattered...
I like serious sam because I fell its a true walk in the park where you just do what you want without thinking your going to be dead
a true picnic of a game where your just out hunting for some weirbulls

That's my point.
This game brings nothing new but graphics compared to other Serious Sam games.

Which brings us back to square one. If it is nothing new besides graphics, why did you buy the game? It is repetitive and boring. RD, you really are on a losing streak.
Oh, and you say you did not buy for the graphics? And then you say the developers made it have good graphics just because today's kids don't like a bad looking game? Seems to me you are whining about today's games, that they HAVE to have good graphics to sell.

I never called you a kid. But why buy the game when you have the original or can easily play the original on an emulator? How is the story different if it is a remake? It doesn't make sense.
The gameplay is the same, maybe more user-friendly I'll admit, but generally the same. I can see you buying the game if only for the overall better quality of the game rather than merely playing the game just because it is new.
If this is how you think, then you have a point to playing the game.

simply because this game is the ahead part of the story
and what the heck are you talking about a remake its a totally new game
serious sam hd first and sceond encounter are remakes of the original
serious sam 3 bfe is a completely new game or is the latest installment to the series

ahead story and gameplay
edit-I noticed that you get emotional very fast, you don't look at the history of any topic and just jump of to conclusions and make fun of people
you haven't played the previous games haven't you?

I did not get emotional in that last post. I looked at the posts made throughout this topic, but I admit I made a few incorrect conclusions. I will also admit I am slightly turning the facts to my favor, though it is obviously not a successful attempt.
I did not make fun of you at all. In fact, near the end of my last post, I conceded most of my arguments prior to let you know I am trying to understand what you are saying about the game.
And last but not least, no, I did not play any of the previous games.

As a side note.
RealDeal did you even read about the game?
BFE stands for BEFORE FIRST ENCOUNTER. it's not a sequel its a prequel. It does not continue the story. It most likely only provides some BG information on the main character at most.

I played serious sam the first encounter, and while the first level brought on a few surprises, the rest of the game was just overkill.
So all I did was stop playing it when it got too repetitive.

Oh I never said it got boring. Very intense action though my aching fingers threatened me with suicide unless I stopped.

I think the reason I never found it boring is because I used to quit the game after every level or about 1 hour of gameplay, that way the game was always fresh for me
you guys should not finish the full game in one day
serious sam or any other

Games need to be finished. Games with no finish are sandbox types. But any game with a story calls out to be completed. Well that is if the story isn't total trash.

The only scenario you'd be right in is if we wanted to explore every nook and cranny of the game. That would be the only way people would rather take a break somewhere in the middle of the game. If all we wanted to do was complete the level, I believe I'd want to finish it all in one sitting, depending on how long the story is, of course.

if the story is good itll drag you in like a good book to the point that you won't even be looking at the clock. If the story is bad, then you'll see me do 10 minute plays of a game. And drop it usually before I even finish.

What I mean is that I couldn't enjoy "every moment of the game" without actually progressing through the story or discovering secrets or easter eggs.
