You two are the second ones to make that kind of comparison(someone did in my guild's forum for City of Heroes...)... Some inspiration in his design came from Inuyasha, true(mostly just the claws and a little bit with the Japanese styled clothing), but I wasn't even fully aware of Magus' design until years later when I actually got around to playing Chrono Trigger...

Anyways, back to work on this for me...

Trying something new for the animations, and am motion capturing some of them using my Kinect(google "Brekel Kinect", if you're interested in how to do it yourself...), so this may take me a while to clean up all the animations since they're kind of jittery and anatomically improbable in how they're interpreted by the software(knees don't always bend, feet slide all over the place, bone rotations are too extreme or too small, exc.)...

But here's an example render of one frame of the motion capture data after I applied it to the model and cleaned it up to give you an taste...

But enough about my shattered dreams, this is looking great . I'm loving the colors. You're creativity knows no bounds indeed..... You should consider making a teamviewer tutorial of how to do this, because 3ds max still looks like Mandarin Chinese to me.

Start with Youtube tutorials of basic tools and functions, and once you get use to them start looking for tutorials on the more advanced tools and features. That's what I did, and it's taught me almost as much, if not more, than I actually learned from my classes at school. As the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day, so take your time and practice with the software regularly, and you can only get better.

Heck, the last few projects I worked on recently(this one included) I was only getting back to because I haven't had a 3D class for a while and felt like practicing on something - anything really - so I could further refine my skill set.

*I waved my hands over the dragon balls, and watched with pleasure as they began to glow, flicker, then flash to life as a giant dragon emerged in a chaotic burst of thunder and lightning as the sky went black*

"I am the eternal dragon. Speak your wish and I will grant it." The great beast roared in his booming voice from the blackened sky above my house.

"Dragon! Bring my creation to life!" I shouted up at him, ignoring the random screams from the people in my home town. You would think they had never seen a dragon before...

The dragon's eyes flashed a brilliant red light before it responded. "You're wish is granted... Fair well..." The dragon rose up into the sky and vanished in a flash as the dragonballs scattered once more.

He's still floating around, I just haven't had time to finish tweaking his animations yet due to other projects getting in the way... I could have him finished and released tonight if I really wanted, but I noticed a few issues as I was testing that require some code fixes to make him work correctly.

Realistically, he might be better suited as an addon for ZEQ2 as opposed to ZEQ2-Lite, since he requires systems that were never developed completely, if at all...

I'TeamSpeak SHENKU.. well someday I will make my self.. the problem is that I'm too similar to MIRAI Gohan or Yamucha short hair.. sure is the same haircut actually hehe..
of course more like Gohan I have the same skin..
