So you would rather it end with Goku being Dead after he became the Legendary Super Saiyan and Vegeta staying on Earth with the rest of everyone else doing lloyd knows what to them? heck no that's just bull stuff. I mean good lloyd man. The series didn't drag along like Bleach or naruto. The cell saga was one of the best sagas. The Super Saiyan 2 and plus a lot of people's personalities were at their height at the cell saga. Now grega I think that the flood japan had was AFTER kai ended...plus I think lloyd just plain dislikes Japan.

No it wasn't. The flood happened round the time the Gohan/Cell fight ended.
As for the ending. See this in to perspective. All of Gokus life, his trials and fights along the way served to make him stronger. He finds out that his unusual tail is because he is part of an alien race. Piccolos origins are also cleared up. And finally Goku confronts the one responsible for the death of his entire species.
They fight and he transforms in to the legend that happens once every thousand years. He avenges his father and everyone else just as the planet explodes erasing the legend and the evil along with it.
On earth The nameks can begin a new life, while Vegeta is in shambles. The rivalry he had with Goku end with him finding out Goku is the one of Legend. His will to fight already broken by Frieza so he's not a danger.
heck I must say that the whole turn round that follows up with him going in to space is so out of character for him that its even a bit weird.
