First attempt at texturing, the UV is really really really sloppy and will be fixed later. I just wanted to get to texture attempts as soon as possible:



Also I believe the reason why the texture quality is really horrible is because I saved it as a 512x512 8-bit BMP texture... yeah..

I'm working on the Budokai map which might be seen in a future patch Smile

Anyways, Updatessssssss!

So I decided to re-do the whole cliff, this time working on both the inner and outer parts at the same time to make things easier for me. This time it should include your suggestion, too, Muff. The polycount is pretty high for something like this, so I'll see what I can do about reducing it after I'm done with the first cliff. As for the bridge and trees, I'll be doing those last. I want each tree to be different, so that'll definitely be time consuming. Smile



Also, if any of you guys have any ideas on a border (for the inner map limit), please let me know as I'm completely out of ideas.

Also, I decided to set the map up for ingame use and I took a few shots.. just remember that this is very very very early and will have proper collision and textures later Smile

I don't think you need an inner map border. A nice perspective continuation of the canyon would do fine as a skybox.

To be honest I like it less now. I don't know why you decided to redo it. It looks to brick like now, too much straight lines.

Thanks for pointing that out, TRL. Comparing what I previously made to what I had previously, it definitely doesn't look as good. So, I decided to love with the shift tool and make it more.. bulgy. Here's the results:



Just note that I need to make the cliff more sharper.

@all the kiddies that are just learning: don't think crits are rude and are insulting to your work! This is a prime example, if TRL never brought this up it my results would most likely continue to not look as good Razz
