There's a unity build, niels has that you could implement it into.

Just wondering if I could help with this one (since I've started playing pokemon again. ^^)
Sorry if anyone made a hyper beam already, but here's my quick try...
(I hope it's not dead)

You sure have a strange coin collection than.
Constructive criticism is welcome, I'm just starting with graphics and stuff like that. Just wanted to help out (however I can). : )

Work on it. It doesn't look like a hyper beam (yet).

Any advice on how to make it better looking?
I've been using this as a reference.

That's pretty nice. I suggest you collect several refs though.

Will do. But as far as I've seen it's usually a light-orange beam with some darker lightning-like stripes and a red outline.
I've seen some other variants though. It seems that in pokemon games (like stadium for n64) they made it darker, 'dirtier' and with some lightnings around it.
I'll work on it later 'cause I won't be home till 8 p.m.

My last try I guess. ^^ Tried to get it to actually look like a hyper beam and not some kind of ki beam. Still have no idea on how to make those slam orange stripes look sharper...

Source reference stretch fill examples. Not as precise as a manual result, but good enough for testing. Do a simple selection fill over the lightning bits in the base texture and add a few additional strips and your result will improve drastically over this single-bolt smudge/blurred auto-tiling example.

I did try that before... kind of. I used that 'magic wand' thingy to cut out the original stripes and it looked cool, but than I thought that it's not allowed to use someones work in your own.
I tried to make those stripes a bit sharper... and here are my results
Standard
With a little bit of blur (looks cool in my opinion)
And with some outlines on the stripes
