I'm too very happy about the look it brings.
I will also make a 3D skybox for the Kami's lookout map. Like everyone said it will really make it better and more finished. After that I will continue the work on this map!
And Jay I don't really concider myself good , but I know I want to be! So I try to learn from every move I make within the editor. and I read up in shader manuals etc. It helps a lot. of course its always good to look at the work of others and absorb the information you can draw from such projects.

I would think it is just put on hold due to school. I recall Hoodjuro saying that his work would be a bit slower due to his education, so I'd not be so quick to judge.

Baldwin - Making 3D skybox is not hard at all. Its just modeling and then implenting that into skybox - no special mojo there. don't know why you scare people with saying "ITS REALLY HARD" :S
Learning how to do 3D skybox is 5-10 min time MAX...

My 3dsskybox's are unique an proper. It's very hard to put together. Normal ones is just an object outside of the map itsself, but it doesn't look natural.

@map : add the texture of the mountain models (in the distance/ 3D skybox) to the terrain in the foreground.
make the mountains more irregular at the summit and the base edge. Undulate the terrain (like landing map)
Also will the muscle tower have an interior?
